4 More Things Atheists Should Stop Saying

You guys know I try to be responsible with my influence, and I'm not afraid to fact-check my peers. This is another attempt of mine to do that. This will be viewable for patrons only for at least a few hours. It will not be visible once I schedule it for release, so don't worry if the link stops working. Thanks so much for your support this month!
Agree with your evaluation of statements 3 and 4. Disagree with your evaluation of “all babies are atheists until they are lied to”. The first part is demonstrably true, and not necessarily irrelevant- it is the second part that is hyperbole. And I disagree that there is a religious or “god tendency”. If so, then the majority of babies of atheists would sooner or later be converts. More likely a strong social component accounts for the omnipresence of religion (not necessarily god- see essential Buddhism)
As for the reading the Bible making one an atheist, I think it is better used as a rhetorical device. I would never make the overreaching claim that reading it would or should make someone an atheist. Rather, when asked why I am one, I can (truthfully) say that is the major reason I am one. This is cognitively shocking to some ( who were raised believing in the magical power of reading the Bible) and naturally leads to the WHY of my belief, and with specific onerous passages being the focus.
Still, I’m upping my support and looking forward to seeing you permanently in Austin!

It's hard for me to grasp that you lose followers because of this type of video -- this stuff is precisely why I added you to my Patreon list. It's inspiring to hear this level of candor and kindness from an atheist youtuber. Keep up the great work!
