The writing, acting, and cinematography are all top-notch. Yes, I wish she would have gone on to Midnight Mass. It's Flanagan's most unique and creative work, IMO. Bly Manor didn't do as much for me as Hill House or MM.

I agree with that. These are series that require our full attention. If you watch them with someone and keep talking, you miss out on a lot of important details. Besides, we pay for her Patreon to watch HER, not her with guests. No matter how incredible the guests are.

I highly recommend you add "You" on Netflix to the list. that being said I'm honestly a little nervous about you choosing Bly Manor to bring on a guest reactor. its a lot like Hill house in mood and you need to pay close attention and you tend to be a little more talkative and jokey with other people and ive seen a few channels that killed the vibe and it absolutely ruined the reactions. I love Ash but I'm really glad you didn't choose to watch either of these shows with him because I think that would've been really bad. Unless you're sure that it's not going to keep you from feeling the full weight of the emotions or missing key details I wouldn't recommend this show for it. Just my honest opinion feel free to ignore it completely. I absolutely loved these reactions! you are such a wonderful reactor. thanks so much i truly love this show. cant wait for bly manor!

I would pick Midnight Mass over Bly Manor- I enjoyed it way more. Also directed by Mike FLannagan. Another series that makes you question a lot in your own life. Great to hear you enjoyed it and I agree this series it's like a therapy session, I cry everytime I watch it.

Another top reaction Hannah, I love all the Mike Flanagan series and cant wait for the next one. The ending was going to be much darker. The final scene of the family together was going to have Red Room window in the background to suggest they didn't actually escape. Mike Flanagan came to love the characters and wanted them to have a happy ending and he thought that this was mean and cruel so it was changed.

Agree. I liked Bly Manor diddn't really stand out to me but I liked it. Midnight Mass however was phenomenal. I also really enjoyed The Fall of the House of Usher, which is another amazing Mike Flanagan show.

Such a great series, hits hard on so many layers. I've got a series suggestion - The Night Manager (2016) James Bond/Thriller type series with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddlestone. Haven't seen any channels react to it out there so it would be a unique series to do, only 6 eps as well. It's on iPlayer

I don't know if you have started blind man or by now but I'm sure you can imagine it's going to be heart-wrenching as well It's not any less sad than he'll have some people argue that it's even more devastating. I don't know I can't say I sobbed at the both of them at the end

I don't know if you could tell but the promise that Hugh made to Olivia that he would keep forever was that he would trade his soul for the kids that he would never let her be alone again if she let the kids out the room and so he killed himself there

Great series reactions, Hannah! I don't remember Haunting of Bly Manor as much as this, but another series on Netflix by the same creator (Mike Flanagan) and many of the same cast members is Midnight Mass. Midnight Mass is a VERY interesting take on a certain creature mythology (no spoilers), religious themes, and small-town dynamics. Highly recommended as a follow up to these.

Hannah, just an addendum. You misunderstood about the Dudleys. They weren't being manipulated by the house, they actually lived in the woods far away and didn't go there at night, but that day they saw that Abigail (their daughter) was missing and went looking for her, finding her dead in the house. They asked Hugh not to burn the house down because in addition to so many other souls that were trapped there, their daughters were also there. Both Abigail and the baby they lost. And they didn't want to leave them alone. At the end, it shows them in the future returning to the house to die on the property and their souls staying there, to continue being with their daughters. And about the father, Hugh... he had to sacrifice himself to save the 4 of them, that was the promise he suggested to Liv. That he would kill himself to stay with her and Nell there, if she opened the door and let the others out. Anyway, this series is a work of art without a shadow of a doubt and I'm sure you'll love Bly Manor too.

So pumped to watch the finale, but I have to ask if The Boys reactions will be coming back anytime soon? I would gladly double my monthly Patreon amount to get more then 1 or 2 episodes of it a month. I am feening more of The Boys and the current drip feed is tantamount to a type of torture lol.
