I'm always so happy to see the reactions to Hill House, because everyone who starts watching it thinks it's just going to be another horror cliché and ends up being changed inside. It's a true masterpiece, seriously. After this is over, I really hope you continue Mike Flanagan's series, they're all amazing! The next one is The Haunting of Bly Manor and Mike works with almost all the same actors in all of his series, it's incredible!!!

Now and then, YT will randomly buffer your video and pause it for several seconds to do so, and it's hard to stay in sync without a timer when that happens.

2025-02-17 03:34:44 +0000 UTCI would highly recommend going into The Haunting of Bly Manor next. Almost the entire cast from hill house returns and the story is the most closely related. There are many shared themes and it goes much more in depth into how the ghosts and the supernatural rules work. I think you would benefit from watching it while this show is still fresh in your mind. Even though a lot of the same actors are in Mike Flanigans other shows those shows feel like they are mostly unrelated while Bly Manor feels like almost a sequel to Hill house even though they're totally different stories. I'm loving these reactions! You are the best! Keeping my fingers crossed for Bly Manor!

Nobody forced you to sub without reading first. You’re supposed to find your own copy and sync it up to watch along which is what the timer is for(Hannah even shows clips at the beginning to help sync). Don’t show your booty just because they are making sure they are doing this correctly and within the guidelines. It’s human to feel frustration, but to pitch a fit about something you don’t understand initially publicly isn’t the best way to go. Enjoy 🖤

The entire Crain family felt the effects of Hill House, but no one more so than matriarch Olivia Crain, who was extra susceptible because of her repressed psychic gifts (which she explains away as migraines). Summed up, the house convinced Olivia that her family needed to die. Poppy infiltrates Olivia's mind and appeals to her overprotectiveness. Poppy convinces Olivia that her children are in danger and that she must kill them to protect them. So called "wake up". Out of all of them Oliva's is the saddest.
