Ya i didn't know it wasn't common until recently. I moved out at 18, I've been married 10 years and I live on the opposite coast of the US but My parents and I have the dynamic that no matter how old I am I'll always be their youngest - "the baby" of the family, and I don't think anything of saying mommy or daddy

2025-04-18 23:45:41 +0000 UTCThough it's not used by most people I've known some people to call their dad's daddy. My dad for instance, all the way through his 30's he would still call his dad daddy. Me being a kid I didn't think anything of it, just a 30 something year old calling his dad daddy. Wasn't till much later I asked him why he called him that even as an adult and he said "Cause that's what I always called him, like how you call me dad". I've heard many variations be used, "pops, dad, da, father, pa". It's understandable though why most people get confused when they hear an adult call their dad daddy.

I'm glad you're enjoying it despite the headaches 🤭 I sure hope you'll continue with Bly Manor after Hill House (Mike Flanagan loves casting the same people so Bly actually has quite a number of Hill House actors in it), and with Midnight Mass and Fall of the House of Usher after that. And if you and Ash haven't seen it, I'd suggest reacting to Hush on his channel. It stars Theo in a thriller.

Like the women in the corner when Hugh discovers the body behind the wall, soooo creepy, I love it
