I'm not referring just to the fact that they decided to delay the service fee changes, which is in and of itself a wonderful thing! The reason I've always been and continue to be a huge fan of Patreon is their attitude toward the user... who isn't seen as just a money making machine, but as a partner and somebody who actually matters. I knew from experience that they do listen to our feedback, and I'm glad their latest blog post proves that I'm still correct.
To creators who have been saying "if Patreon doesn't improve I'm moving to something else" the past few days: Do let me know if you find another online financial service, where the staff actually care about their users and actively work together with us for everyone's common good. Because especially after my recent experience with PayPal, I know that finding such a thing is like finding a free diamond just sitting in the middle of the street for you to pick up. Patreon will make mistakes, they aren't owed by Jesus Fucking Christ himself... unlike a typical corporation however, they don't use the user then throw him / her away the moment they aren't generating enough revenue or they're offended by some random stupid thing.
