Comic Delay
Added 2022-03-17 15:56:31 +0000 UTCGood Morning Family!
We had an eventful Wednesday which landed Simon in the ER last night, unfortunately. He'd passed out at his desk and was unconscious for a bit. Not to worry; they ran tests and everything came back normal, thank dog! It turns out it was an event called Vasovagal Syncope which causes a nerve to malfunction and temporarily cause blood pressure to drop so low it makes you pass out. It was very scary but we've been told it's nothing to worry about unless it becomes pattern. I wanted to share this with you all because the comic may be late as Simon takes it easy today. As always, thank you for your support! Big hugs <3

That's an awfully unpleasant surprise to find, but I'm glad it isn't too serious! And let's hope it never gets any more serious or ever becomes a pattern.z Hope the recovery is going well!

2022-03-17 22:43:17 +0000 UTCThank you for sharing that. Does it happen often to you? Simon said he didn't even have time to realize what was happening before he fell. We're hoping it never happens again, but best to be prepared!

2022-03-17 20:20:39 +0000 UTCI just learned about vasovagal syncope a couple weeks ago as an explanation for my brother and I! Over time I've learned to recognise the signs that it's happening, and I can get close the the floor and put my head upside down to prevent loss of blood flow to the brain until it passes. If there's enough warning, tell him to try that. Hopefully it will help <3
