Family Update

Hey Family!

I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know things are going OK for us. With the comic being personal it can be very difficult to separate privacy and entertainment. While some of our comic is based on real people and events, it's mostly fictional for entertainment purposes. If we did an actual comic of our lives it'd be much more depressing and the world has enough of that! Our comic has always been an "ideal" of how we wish life was and will continue to be this way.

I wanted to say this because I will not be bogging everyone down with our own family drama unnecessarily. We're happy to share what we think can help others but there's no point sharing everything because people do need some privacy as well. That being said, we're working with a therapist to help our son cope with Borderline Personality Disorder. It's honestly a mixed bag of good days but that's how it'll be until we get things under control. It's a very big life challenge but we're up for it and we're doing everything we can to be supportive. We know he can improve with support and effort and that's our goal. We all know too well how abusive/dysfunctional childhoods can really mix things up in our heads as we mature and this seems to be the root of his BPD.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's kind words and we will indeed share updates now and again but we always want the main focus to be our work. We appreciate all the support you've given us and we hope to continue to be able to create for years to come!
