Q&A: What Race/Class Does the Whole Family Play?

AJ wanted new d&d books a while back. What race/class does the whole family play? Who’s the murder hobo of the party? Will we ever have a spin off comic of their shenanigans?

Hi William!

I'm glad you asked this question because it's something I'm very excited about. I haven't played D&D since 8th grade where I was always the DM. Graph paper and laminated character sheets were my everything and what initially got me into game design. My friends and cousins weren't really into D&D itself so for them I'd take the same formula and make it TMNT or Rescue Rangers. We had a ton of fun with it.

For years I've been wanting us to play as a family and I'm happy to say a few months ago we bought our first book, the Player's Handbook. We started reading it but unfortunately with school starting back up, it got shelved. We're hoping to get something started over Christmas break. I'll DM of course but knowing my family they'll be elves or dragonborn.

Unfortunately this is another area where our comic characters have more free time than we do and accomplish more! But once we've had our first family D&D adventure, I'm sure you'll be seeing our shenanigans in the comic!
