Q&A: How Much of the Characters/Stories Are Based Off Your Life?

I love that Alex and Jon are visibly in love and no one is the stereotypical dumb dad or anything like that. They just who they are.

Hey Christian,
Thank you. We believe representation matters so we thought for a long time about the kind of characters we wanted to put out there. As for how much of the characters or storylines are based on our lives, it's a mixed bag. Our comic is a work of fiction but we draw some inspiration from our own lives and experiences. The characters are definitely much more on the fictional side as I think they're better and more successful than we are in real life. It gives us something to aspire to! And for scenarios, even when they are inspired by real life experiences (for better or worse) they're still varying levels of fiction. Some things are pretty much how they happened while others are elaborations or simply entirely fiction. It keeps things interesting ;)
