Goals Update

Good Morning Friends,

I just wanted to let you all know I've had to update our Patreon goals.  Our living situation has changed and that means our goals have to change with it.

Two years ago Simon, myself, my mother, our two nieces, and our nephew moved to Florida to escape an unhealthy dysfunctional situation.  The goal was to work together to change our family's dysfunctional ways and be the family we all wanted.  Unfortunately this hasn't worked out.  I could share more details but they're very sad and I really don't want to burden you all with our problems.  It's life, right?  Sometimes things just don't work out how you'd like, no matter how hard you try.  People need to find happiness, even if it's not with their own family.

Because of this upset in our life, we're now in a situation where we're no longer sharing living costs, but responsible for them entirely.  This is why we had to adjust our patreon goals.  We are not going to change our commitment to deliver on what was our $2,000 goal because we feel that would be unfair.  Our living situation changing was no fault of the supporters so it's the right thing to do.  What this means, however, is we're at the brink of our commitment and the goals beyond $2,000 are to let us afford to live, but without additional rewards.

We've got about 60 days to increase our Patreon support.  The situation we're in now is we're finishing the book and we're almost done with the comic con prep.  We'll kick off season 4 of strips shortly after and it'll be 5 strips a week.  The challenge we now face is having to take contract work while doing this, the goal we originally planned to be a full-time job.  We're up for the challenge, but we're going to do everything we can to find more Patreon support so we can stick to our original plan without burning out.  Unfortunately we're human and are only capable of doing so much before it becomes unhealthy.

Thank you very much for your ongoing support!  I just finished putting the Special Thanks section together in our third book collection and we've got over 450 new Patreons since our last book!  We're incredibly grateful for the opportunity and we're going to continue to do our best to challenge ourselves and deliver the best work we can!
