Hi! Welcome! As you’ll be well aware, this is the first blog From the Desk of Dr* Toni Lodge, and it’s a pleasure. I’m not sure I ever imagined my chaotic brain being in podcast form, much less did I expect that the chaotic brain that feeds half of Toni and Ryan would turn into a blog, but here we are.
To pop the cherry on this delightful new medium, I need to discuss a hot topic of the day, which is me giving shit recommendations and some of the ways in which Ryan is definitely worse.
Here is us after I've recommended something (pictured below)

Look how happy we are. Carefree. Having a whale of a time.
Here is us after Ryan has recommended something (pictured below)

Shocked. Speechless. Horrified. Worried. Full of concern.
The hotly contested idea of who is shit and who is good is currently without a winner and we need to decide, once and for all, where we stand with this.
I have recommended things that are bad. I’ll give you that. No, I do not like Brooklyn99. But can I please remind everyone that I recommended CHOCOLATE MOUSSE? It might have been our very first ever episode, but it began an entire conversation on Red Rooster VS KFC! (And I’ll have you know, that that conversation is still paying dividends for me, as I sit here warm in my Red Rooster branded Oodie.)
I brought TV shows such as Only Murders in the Building to the group! Which everyone (INCLUDING RYAN) loved! (Season 2 has just started BTW - do yourself a favour and rewatch season 1.) I also incited a world-wide rewatch of The Vampire Diaries, which was very popular amongst the thirsty boy-lovers in our Toni and Ryan Facebook group.
I have also recommended the greatest invention of all time: The Frank Green Waterbottle.
Ryan has never recommended anything that good - and in fact - he has recommended things that are bad. For example, shitting on towels in other peoples’ bathrooms and watching Golf TikToks.
Will the blog be a slander piece each and every week? There’s really no way of knowing. But please sound off in the comments of your opinion on who is worse at recommendations, and also what you'd like to see here each week! News, memes, slander, anything!
And as a treat courtesy of Lady Julie (not Julia) Morris in our Facebook group - you can now find out whether you’re a Toni or a Ryan here. Enjoy!
Love ya! T x
