That is not a delusion. It's healthy, it's necessary, and, when you have a large dog and a kid, a never ending, thankless task. It IS appreciated. It IS (or at least, should be), fulfilling. To anyone that this resonates with: Don't you DARE think you are not important! Dad is my husband - the stay at home, take care of the house, homemaker. And I will never take that for granted. Don't you dare!
