Today I've added two new algorithms, both for splitting a song into separated stems. For now, it's only available to patrons.
- Beta. This algorithm should be tested - it gives almost the same results as before, but may separate the bass and drums a little better.
- With guitar. This algorithm separates guitar into a separated track.
For both, I need your feedback.

2024-02-24 14:31:14 +0000 UTCM/S processing... If a vocal has a bunch of stereo reverb/delay/effects, I bet the algorithm has a tough time subtracting that sonic info entirely. This includes BG vocals that are panned. My 2 cents. That's why i don't even try it on tracks with heavy vocal effects.

2024-01-27 18:37:08 +0000 UTCThis acts similarly to a noise removal software. It’s taking educated guesses as to what is a human voice and what is an instrument. It then removes the vocal as if it’s ‘noise’. A LOT of songs have some sort of keyboard/synth droning in the background to glue a song together. These generally have a lot of vocal characteristics. As do certain guitar sounds. So the software has to find the threshold where eliminating vocal sounds begins to eliminate instruments. Try running the instrument track through a second time. I’m sure he will add a ‘threshold’ to this at some point…and the software will learn as it goes.

"Lose Yourself" chorus: ".......Lose it............turn it into...........you only got one shot................opportunity........lifetime........don don" lol" or even the alternate pitches from the main singers, such as Zedd ft. Selina Gomez "I want you to know" the harmonies are wild it would be cool to isolate them themselves (the video is out there, must obtain ability myself!)

But after using Vocal Remover and LALAL.AI side-by-side for quite some time and on very different material, I can say with certainty that VR is superior. I’m actually flabbergasted by this because LL is spending a great amount of energy in advertising, and hyperbole claims, while vocal remover is simply just better without any further ado.

The other day I did a Keel song and I muted out all of the lead vocal and made a background vocal for the musical track that I created with your algorithm. Does this algorithm copy the tracks from the original song, or does it just extract them? If it could create an identical track for each part that would give a better representation of the song. Just my take. I became a patron just yesterday. I love what you have done so far.

Tengo 66 años y más de 40 en el terreno de la grabación y el sonido profesional; Por supuesto que si alguien quiere "la perfección en separación "pura" de pistas de un tema, debería ir a un estudio de grabación, contratar músicos, arreglistas, PAGAR la grabación y demás. Obviamente, Dmitry ha logrado lo que NINGÚN programa de uso profesional ha podido hacer con esa calidad; (por ejemplo el Izotope RX 8, 9, 10...) Si alguien necesita o desea cantar, o tocar la batería, o el bajo, o la guitarra en un tema terminado, ésta es la opción, sin duda. Los que se quejan por no poder subir más de un tema diariamente, en lugar de quejarse deberían colaborar con U$S 5.- una suma accesible a cualquier bolsillo para obtener el beneficio. Los resultados son excelentes. Mis felicitaciones a su creador

2023-01-30 20:47:49 +0000 UTCnova actualização estar bacana, porem teria como melhorar mais a questão do vocal ser mais consistente pois na divisão se perde um pouco a qualidade voz ficando com falhas,sugestão seria cria parte de separacão de vozes, na bateria tentar separar cada peça da bateria, guitarra com tempo ja se mostra bem mais tranquilo,parte solo instrumental ainda fica la no fundo bem quase nao nítida vozes vazando com geral estar muito legal isso ai amigo conte conosco.

I suggest making a Lead Vocals separation, and a Choir/Crowd separation. In case of a song which has choir, it'll be useful to krep the choir and to remove only the lead vocals. Can you do that?

Bass+drums on one side, the rest on the other. This would be a huge timesaver for us (and would preserve lots of bandvidth) Let me know if you need html/css help in this, i would be glad to help!

It's good at differentiating from ukulele and banjo, which was my biggest guess of where it fails, but nope, it actually does that well! However, I've noticed that trumpets and strings seem to get stuck between the music and guitar tracks. Also, it sounds really compressed, but I imagine that's gonna change soon when the bot gets more examples of isolated guitar. Here's the songs I've tested it with: Songname - Bandname (comment) 1. Holland, 1945 - Neutral Milk Hotel (The trumpets are almost always in the guitar track, and besides some string taps at the beginning, the guitar is always in the guitar track!) 2. Carefree - Kevin Macleod (Minus a bit of bleeding from the ukulele, and bleeding of the guitar into the music section, it separated the guitar beautifully!) 3. Yesterday Remastered 2009 - The Beatles (It got the guitar PERFECTLY! However, the strings were also bleeding into the guitar as soon as they appeared in the song.) 4. Portal Radio Decompressed - Johnathon Coulton (Besides sounding muffled and having trouble deciding what's base and what guitar, I'd say it did a good job with this one! No other instruments bled in besides base.) 5. Cold - The Oh Hellos (Did an AMAZING job not mistaking the banjo for a guitar, although it still sounds a bit muffled.) 6. Haiku - Tally Hall (Besides just the TINEST section of voice bleeding into the guitar, it was FLAWLESS! And this one hardly sounds muffled! this is definitively the clearest example of cutting out the guitar. Bravo!)

First, we separate tracks, THEN we repitch them. This would save you bandwidth, avoiding unnecessary uploads/downloads. Your work is completely changing our musical world as a duo. Thank you sooooo much buddy, should you need ux or translation help, eager to do that!

I hope the uploads for Beta and With Guitar do not count toward our data usage limit. :) Overall comment for Beta and With Guitar: The additional instrumentation separation is cool and enough for now but the separation is inconsistent depending on the song. With simple rock 'n' roll songs I found that the algo is not separating the Bass from the Guitar line in all parts of a track. The algo even had trouble when the Bass and Guitar notes are a large interval apart. But at least those two are both guitars. ;) I also tried more modern pop tracks and in those cases where instrumentation is more subtle and varied, the algo seemed to think that synthesizers are guitars, or at least could not remove the synthesizers from Guitar. And as someone else mentioned here, the algo is trying so hard that it washes out parts of the Guitar line making it almost entirely inaudible, at times. Good luck
