Art Book Update and May Plans!

Before I say anything about any plans I just wanna thank you ALL for your support. We reached $900 in pledges this morning and that just... blows my mind. It's fucking INSANE actually?! I don't even know where to begin or how to express in words how much I appreciate every single one of you, and I will do my very best to keep drawing things that make you happy.

Art Book Updates

So, I've been brainstorming for the last two weeks and I've finally settled on my idea for the art book. Originally I had planned on compiling a collection of fantasy-themed Kacchan art but, y'know, that just wasn't motivating me and I realised that I wanted to tell a story. DEADICATION is only around five chapters away from the end, and it's going to leave one hell of a hole in my heart. I'm not sure I'm ready to launch myself into my next 300k slow burn, but creating a story from my artwork sounds really exciting to me.

One of my very first one-shots featured a Kacchan, cursed to live in a body that could ignite at any moment, and full of rage for those that made him that way. I've always loved that story, and wanted to do something more with it one day. So that's what I'm gonna do! The plot won't be the same, but the art book will be a series of illustrations following Kacchan, and his life in exile, traveling through a beautiful but dangerous world as he tries to find a way to remove his curse, facing nine separate challenges along the way.

There will be no dialogue, the story instead told through the illustrations. Currently, with my layouts it's already looking like it's going to be around 50 art pieces long so, uhh, yeh that's kind of a HUGE undertaking. Even if I could complete two pieces a month that's still two goddamn years, right? NOT THE CUTE LITTLE ART BOOK IDEA I HAD PLANNED AT ALL. But I'm just so excited about it. So, with that in mind, I'm going to approach things a little differently.

Essentially, I'm going to be releasing this like I would if I was working on a webcomic. The sketches/wips will be available to anyone in the $3 tier and up, but for those of you in the $9.50 tier you'll be able to see each illustration, in sequence, as they're completed and follow along in the story. At the end, it'll be compiled into a book for anyone to purchase. So, even if you aren't pledging for the entire story, you'll be able to see how the story ends up.

Oh, and current working title... Dynamight's Inferno. Definitely a play on Dante's Inferno. Might be a hint there for the nine challenges he'll face... Nerd's gotta nerd.

I'm going to be working on the first volume of DEADill alongside Inferno! Don't worry, it's not getting left behind.

May Updates

It's MerMay so I definitely wanna draw some merdicks for the NSFW tier. Two commissions are completed so I'm making my way through them! Also, if you're not already in our Discord and aware of it, I'll be running my very first study session this coming Wednesday, and again on May 27th!
