Yeah, you know maybe wait. A few millennia first unless you just like being vaporized.
It’s hard to know whether they’re melodramatic or it’s just not worth it lol

Thank You for all your excellent and fascinating programs. One thing about the Merkavah literature I’ve always puzzled over is how the various adepts learned the triple jointed names and all the myriad details of the practice. What sort of research was it that they did? Something gave them reason to take it all so literally.

Very interesting as always! Thanks so much for this! :)
I have been wondering something about the water ordeal. One of the other Mystery/Katabasis-type descriptions involving water is the Orphic Gold Tablets, in which one is very thirsty and asks for a drink of water, but one must be wary to pass by the first source of water because it is the waters of Lethe, and one instead seeks the waters of Mnemosyne. Could the water ordeal in the Hekhalot literature be something of a riff on this, perhaps? A way of saying that any emphasis on water at all is an illusion, and the way in which it is presented as the culmination and goal of another tradition's praxis is, in fact, totally misleading and incorrect?

Thank you so much for all you do! It is so important to get the real information and not the assumptions of those with out the real text. You Rock!

Maybe the tension in the text comes from the notion that anyone can go there, but hardly anyone makes it back.
