MW - Introducing Aoi

So, even though I haven't talked about it in a long time and I let the start date for it pass me by quite some time ago, Moonlight Wanderers is still a thing.  And despite the existence of Sword and Shield, MW will still be about the Sun and Moon games as well.  I've long since had this contingency plan in mind in case the next gen games were to be announced during MW's run (though I did hope MW would be actually running by then).  The short version is that the concepts, characters, and Pokemon from other regions besides Alola might get mentions or cameos.  And Sword and Shield's Galar region has no reason to be an exception.  In fact, I'd been long considering that if a new game came out before MW was over, I could introduce a new original character I had mind.

I chickened out at the time, and I did this instead.  XD

But following yesterday's Pokemon Direct (which I'm going to try and make the last Sword and Shield info I follow until the game's release so I can go in as blind as possible), I decided it's as good a time as any to finally talk about her.  

So today I introduce to you: Aoi, the older sister of MW's protagonist Maya, who moved to the Galar region to study abroad.  The sisters are six years apart in age, but are still very close to each other.  Aoi's very smart and very kind, and even from long distance, constantly wants to dote on her younger sis.  Aoi probably won't have a huge role in the story, but we see her from time to time, and you can definitely expect some namedrops.

While I am currently Team Sobble myself, I gave Aoi a Scorbunny.  Partly because I love bunnies and apparently need to always include one in everything I write.  And partly because I admit it's the Galar starter I'm best at drawing (probably because I love bunnies).  But also, after Maya's Popplio (Tsukiko), and her rival Midori's Bulbasaur (Herbert), this allows the third of MW's original characters to bring the starter type triangle together (even if they're all using starters from different regions).  Her Scorbunny's name is Lagos.  ^_^

I actually do have one more original character planned (every other major character in MW is a canon Pokemon character, although as I may have said in the past, they might not necessarily behave in exactly their canon way).  The last original character, I'll go over some other time.  I actually thought for sure I was going to introduce him before Aoi, but I've been really struggling with how I want him to look.  So bear with me just a little longer.  ^_^

Anyway, I hope you like her, and as always I'm open to your thoughts.  Probably don't expect me to make a habit of two Patreon posts a week, but as I said last time, I will try to use this platform more.  At the very least, certainly I'll post something else sooner than half a year from now.  XD
