Yes, agreed with what you wrote in the first half, however, I don’t think dynamite as a song reflects who they are as artists very well. The styling may reflect Taes personality and aesthetic (agreed btw, he looks killer in dynamite era) but the music, outside of the fun, catchiness of it, is not very BTS.
No rap? That’s the foundation of who they are. Meaningless lyrics about Americana (iced tea, rock and roll, Lebron James, King Kong the list goes on...)? The music itself is not a reflection of their artistry. It’s a one off that would not exist without this pandemic. It’s fine as it is, but it is valid for army to point out it is unique from their other songs.

Lmao I listened to the whole thing and didn’t hear anything about the Grammy nom 😅 and also I get the frustration about Dynamite getting all the hype and recognition when BTS have more worthy songs. BUT dynamite is also THEM. They chose to do it, they have spent months recording and now promoting. This is a historical time in their journey as artists. Tae literally just chose Dynamite as the song that defines him the most on Esquire he said “I think the entire concept, the motif, the outfits were really me. The outfits really suited me” I hate when people try to say ‘they had to do an English song’, nahh...they CHOSE to do it to reach their FANS around the world and bring joy. If that is not genuine BTS then idk what is

I think we mass stream because we get no radio play...

I think it's great that BTS is venturing outside of their normal sound and comfort zone; peeling it back, breaking it down, and showing more of their sensibilities and vulnerabilities as real people in this album. Taking off the usual k-pop marketing hype machine as per se.
