I have a few ethical problems with idol AI's. One, it feeds into the dangerous narrative that fans control the idols, further dehumanizing them as artists and individuals. Second, it encourages obsessive and delusional tendencies (This seems inevitable with any AI technology that allows computers to completely replace humans in any scenario). Third, I'm uneasy with the fact that companies will hold the rights to the idol's likeness in such an unprecedented way. The idea that the company can still control and profit off your likeness (personality, appearance, abilities, etc.) well after you retire, leave the group, or get kicked out seems unethical. However, it's unclear how any of this is going to pan out since it is uncharted territory (K/DA is different because they aren't directly based on a real life person).

I think SM is experimental but if they do want to really nail the AI aspects they really need to boost up their graphics, I know that they don't really focus much on this as much as KDA but maybe they should hire out a small gaming company something [might also come in handy if they actually ever decide to come out with digital games] to help them out. The graphics during the interview just weren't that great and maybe my gaming back ground makes me biased but compared to a lot of other "AI" (seems more like a simple Avatar) out there its very for a lack of a better word outdated? I do look forward to see how well they handle this but a lot of ppl do seem to be very against it or just seem to look at all the negative. Yes they will most likely be sexualized which sucks but in today's world almost everything is sexualized, even kids shows so its practically inevitable given kpop visual ideals and expectations I've just learned to go with the flow and just prepare for the worse and hope for the best. SM seems to always surprise me. I genuinely didn't like the premise of NCT or the idea of them at all when they were first speculated but I currently ult them so who knows what might happen with aespa.

I have a lot of high expectations for GD. He really has to come out with something amazing since they've been away for sooo long. Are they still relevant anymore? AESPA, I don't know. I'll see what happens when they come out. Everything seems hypersexualized

I think that SM is very ambitious but those avatars are not gonna catch on. Also they look like they have an eating disorder- maybe not the best visuals for idols that are usually under pressure. I can't wait for GD to come back along with Big Bang. They are freaking Kings and GD is the best!!

I've been seeing around the internet that SM are planning a cafe/hotel type place to give fans the expirence of hanging out with their idol so mabye thats why their experimenting with AESPA? so they can see how well with will work out πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ? I feel SM will drop it after a while like they have with almost every other groups concepts

I'm really looking forward to GD comeback and I feel a lot of people are antisapting it, even k-pop fans that werent around for that era still know him or have heard of him been refered to as the king of k-pop so I image even they would tune in for his come back. I hope he dosn't go with a very pop feel or 4th gen feel for his comeback but who knows what he will do?

Cecilia

De Ne De Ne denedendenedede Mommy Shark, do do dodododo! Bang Bang Bang!! Actually, the AI avatars are pretty boss in the preview I saw!
