It happened
Added 2024-11-06 08:42:00 +0000 UTCI woke up this morning to see the worst from my country. It seems that not only has Donald Trump taken the Presidency once again, but Republicans have likely also seized both the House and Senate. This is going to be bad.
To the world, I am sorry on behalf of my country. I don’t know how else to say it. Hatred won. Fear won. I pray this term is not going to go the way I think it will, but that is all I have left. Prayer.
I will continue to write for as long as I am legally allowed, but if I have to go dark I will let you all know with as much warning as I am able. Help your friends, especially the ones who have to now run for their lives. I know I will.

The problem that you have here in the US, is that you have one party who's supporters continually resort to name calling whenever their opinions are not completely accepted and parroted back to them (i.e. you are a bigot, homophobe, transphobe, etc.) and their younger college age supporters are so far out in the weeds with their beliefs (i.e. supporting Palestine and Hammas) that it is laughable. It also doesn't help when the Commander in Chief openly calls over half of the nation "garbage" in a White House conference. I've heard more cries for censorship of speech from the left, than I have from the right. However, the Right is not innocent either. They have routinely gone so far "fundamentally christian" that it is disgusting. Their beliefs are back to being like cave people. BOTH of the major political parties in the US are disgusting, and EVERYONE in Washington needs to be fired and replaced. Right wing and Left wing are BOTH part of the same diseased bird.
