Serious Talk Time

AiLovesToGrow, the creator of the Becoming Monsters universe and a wonderful woman, has suffered a major stroke. She is presently in the hospital and stable, but is suffering paralysis to half of her body and aphasia. Unable to read or write. This is a fate worse than death for storytellers like us, and though she can possibly recover it will take a long and difficult journey to do so.
I’m asking for prayers from those of you who are the kind to do so, and well wishes from the rest. Her family has halted her Patreon and taken down the Becoming Monsters books from Amazon, and are not presently asking for support.
This is… unbelievably difficult for me to write. She has been one of my closest friends for the past year other than my wife, a mentor and confidant in a world I had little experience in. She’s tough and stubborn enough to pull through, but I hate seeing her suffer like this.
I wish there was more uplifting news to put here to finish things out, but all I’ve got is that she’s still alive. I pray that this will continue.
For those of you who want to convey a message to her, send it to me via DM or put it on this post and I will ensure that her caretakers can bring it to her. I will continue to carry the torch here and my own stories will continue, per her wishes expressed before the stroke.
