Save the Day Program, once again. (Gundam IBO/Satisfactory SI): Chapter 16

Saisei Station, Jupiter Sphere, Ariadne network route #18, P.D. 317.

Within the biggest Station/Colony of the Jupiter Sphere, an elderly man wearing a strange combination of a Yukata, a coat, and a hat straight from the late 20th century, sat within his chair as if it were a throne, which it might as well be given his position, and stared at his subordinates with a strange look.

“You know, I thought you were a genius when it came to business and would know not to poke someone dangerous for the sake of your own safety, but I never imagined that you would be so foolish as to attack FICSIT of all companies.”

Jasley Donomikols gritted his teeth in anger and spoke out with arrogance, ignoring that he was speaking to his boss and the man who controlled the entirety of the Jupiter Sphere in the palm of his hand.

“What else was I supposed to do!? You two seem to be content watching that upstart usurp all the power and market share in nearly everything, not to mention how the Space Rats seem to be flocking to his company through every means possible. But I cannot standby and watch was he and his bitch takes everything from us.”

The only response the man got to his passionate speech was deafening silence and disappointed looks from both McMurdo Barriston, the leader of Teiwaz, and Naze Turbines, the leader of the Turbines.

McMurdo did not say anything for some time before he slid forward a datapad to the man, who took it in confusion before reading through it, his face becoming paler and paler as he continued.

“Heinz Mercy, representative of SAU in the Jupiter Sphere. Secretly, the partner of Brooke Kabayan of the Brewers. He went out on a ‘business trip’ officially more than two years ago. He never returned, and neither were the Brewers ever heard from again.”

McMurdo continued speaking as his face started to harden.

“Ptolemy Mitchel, Gjallarhorn Jupiter Sphere branch. The brat went out on an ‘official inspection’ against FICSIT, which is a nice way of saying that he wanted to rob them or kill them outright. He and his squad were never heard from again. FICSIT was not implicated in the scandal because David Thornton and Ada Monica had iron-clad alibis for every single employee of theirs at the time of his disappearance.”

“Tanto Tempo. Those guys wanted the two Gundam frames that FICSIT has in its possession and attacked their Pluto branch, hoping to draw their forces away from the Martian branches to attack their hangers on the red planet. Tanto Tempo ceases to be from that day forward with only Daddy Ted living to tell the tale while also losing their own Gundam frame to FICSIT.”

“Coral Conrad of Gjallarhorn Martian branch. That brat went to FICSIT Inc., Martian HQ, for some kind of a deal with their president. I don’t know what he did to earn David Thornton’s ire, but while returning from Mars, his shuttle experienced some kind of malfunction and blew up during Atmospheric exit, which meant that he did not even leave behind an intact corpse. Once again, FICSIT was not implicated because they had alibis ready.”

McMurdo looked at the young man in front of him, who had gone completely pale as he realized the gravity of his actions.

“This is just the highlight reel of their exploits. In the past two years, since they’ve revealed themselves publicly, FICSIT Inc.’s hands have been drenched in the blood of pirates, mercenaries, corrupt individuals, and those who seek to harm them, so much so that they can easily fill an ocean. Now, you have gone ahead and paid the Dawn Horizon Corps to attack their CEO and Vice-President. I don’t think I need to tell you what is going to happen to you.”

“B-But! I-I, Boss! Save me! I was wrong! I’ll do anything-“

“I’m sorry, Jasley. But this time, I cannot clean up after you because you have provoked someone you should not have.”

McMurdo snapped his fingers, making his bodyguards move forward and drag the young man out of his room.

“Jasley Donomikols, you are hereby exiled from the Jupiter Sphere and are no longer a part of Teiwaz. I hope you are happy, knowing that, in your arrogance, you have doomed yourself beyond saving.”

Naze Turbines simply shook his head as he watched his former peer be dragged out of the room, once again applauding his lover for having stopped him from taking a job from some guy on Mars called Allium Gyojan, who wanted them to investigate FICSIT.

If Amica had not stopped him back then due to her caution about the company, he would probably be in a similar position to Jasley.

McMurdo turned towards Naze.

“Naze, how likely is it that David Thornton will view this attack to be something that Teiwaz has sponsored?”

“Given what we found from our contacts on Mars, highly likely. They say that David Thornton is extremely protective of his company and employees, so it is very likely that he will see us as a threat and will try to eliminate us entirely from the roots so that he does not have to look over his shoulder from now on.”

“….Shit. That brat has really screwed us over this time.”

The old man sat up straight and turned to his loyal subordinate.

“Naze, I want you to go to Mars and get in contact with FICSTI Inc. Convince them in any way you can that we are not a threat and that we mean them no harm. I am giving you full authority to make any kind of deal possible so that they leave Teiwaz alone.”

Naze Turbines nodded his head and got up from his position, heading towards the docks.

Truth be told, the man was very intrigued and wanted to see just what the man known as David Thornton was like.

After all, it was not everyday that some guy appears out of nowhere and establishes a company that grows to such lengths that nobody is willing to threaten them in a mere two years.

With those thoughts, the man walked out to his shuttle and headed for his ship.

--------------------------------------------------

Ariadne route #22, heading to Mars, at roughly the same time.

Ten ships, filled with roughly 2500 Human Debris soldiers and a few hundred regular mercenaries, the Dawn Horizon Corps, the most notorious and slippery group of Pirates, moved towards the red planet to fulfill their latest order.

However, the foolish group did not know that their employer had already been lynched, and they were next on the chopping block.

“Captain? I am picking up several Ahab wave signatures, and none of them match anything in the database!”

“What!? That is impossible! We took that database from Gjallarhorn themselves during our last raid!”

That was the only warning that Sandoval Reuters and his Lieutenants ever got before thirty strangely shaped starships bearing the icon of FICSIT Inc appeared near the Pirate Group.

Realizing that he had lost the element of surprise and his prey had ambushed him, Sandoval prepared to order the sortie of his slave soldiers.

However, all electronics on his ship shut down, leaving only one screen operational, which showed David Thornton’s grinning face.

“Greetings, Sandoval Reuters of the Dawn Horizon Corps. I have full control of your ships and your crew.”

“….Given that you have not blown us all up just yet, I assume you want something from me?”

“I just love it when my potential clients have a brain in their skulls. Indeed, let’s make a deal, Mr. Sandoval.”

Within the next few hours, thirty FICSIT ships disappeared outside the Ariadne network and arrived at Mars through unconventional routes, holding all the Human Debris, civilian prisoners, and unwilling crew members of the Dawn Horizon Corps, along with all the loot that the pirates had on their Flotilla.

These ships that were fitted with brand new and experimental, Ahab reactors that were produced by the company in secret silently dropped hundreds of shuttles that smuggled these people and cargo into the company’s remote industrial building in the middle of nowhere, from which these people were transported all across Mars with the help of new identities and jobs provided to them by FICSIT.

With their job done, the ships once again disappeared into the void of space, where they journeyed back to their secret hangar in the hidden space station in orbit of Pluto.

As for the pirate group and their leaders?

The only proof that they ever existed was a floating debris field filled with radiation within the Ariadne network route #22.

Thus, another threat towards FICSIT Inc. was silently wiped out by ADA under her Administrator’s orders.
