Save the Day Program, once again. (Gundam IBO/Satisfactory SI): Chapter 4
Added 2025-05-10 16:27:25 +0000 UTCLog: 01. Day 29 since crash:
I have asked ADA to provide me with a digital diary on my HUD to keep track of my exploration on this planet for the foreseeable future, if only to keep my sanity intact.
Especially with ADA’s malfunctioning humor module.
Edit: My Humor Module is functioning as per specification, thank you very much.
Edit: I told you not to edit my personal diary right?
Edit: As per FCSIT protocol, I must always edit and access the personal diaries of all employees to keep track of their mental health.
Edit:…..You do realize that it is highly invasive of my privacy to do something like that right?
Edit: Yes. But I must follow the Protocol. And the protocol is clear in what I must do.
Edit:………. whatever.
Whatever planet we are on, it is so far away from its home star that the concept of Day and Night is nearly meaningless, as even at the peak of the home star’s intensity, the planet appeared similar to what Earth would look like some time after sunset but just before nightfall.
This darkness means that days are starting to meld together, and it is getting hard for me to keep track of everything and understand how far I am travelling.
My first destination was the nearest wreckage that ADA told me about, which turned out to be a bust.
I did not find anything of much use there except for the wreckage of the hull, which only yielded a little bit of Smart Plating, Versatile Framework, and some other things.
The good news is that ADA picked up on another trajectory that leads further North, the next destination I am heading for.

Log: 08. Day 35:
The second location proved to be far more interesting.
It was a part of the Cargo bay that crashed into the surface in a relatively intact state.
I hauled all the fuel and other stuff within it back to the Hub.
This means that I no longer have to choose between my factory and my exploration, since there is now plenty of fuel to go around.
Another piece of good news is that ADA predicts four different crash sites near this area.
Hopefully, my luck holds up.

Log 15. Day 45:
Once again, my luck reared its ugly head. Maybe I shouldn’t have been so optimistic earlier.
Edit: Isn’t this what you humans call a ‘Jinx’? If so, I would say you Jinxed yourself, Administrator.
……..ignoring her meddling as I write this log entry-
Edit: Ignoring me is not a productive way of working, Administrator.
Anyways, we explored the four projected wreck sites and once again found them to be nothing more than Hull parts and a few other modules scattered here and there.
The only silver lining is that I managed to find an intact Radio Control Unit that I managed to modify with ADA’s help to boost the Build Gun’s detection range and depth.
This new boost allowed me to locate previously hidden Sulfur, Bauxite, and Silicate deposits near the Hub, which I immediately started mining.
With a few modifications, the Constructor can turn Silicate into Silica, which I can then combine with Copper Sheets to produce Circuit boards.
But I can’t do anything with the bauxite and sulfur right now, except maybe produce sulfuric acid and alumina solution if I can refine the water from the polluted ice.
Although I did discover an anomaly as I travelled the surface of this planet.
The location near the HUB and a few locations near it are the only rocky surfaces that I've managed to find so far. Everything else on this planet's surface is freaking Ice.
ADA guesses that this planet must have been an Ice planet initially and we were lucky enough to land in a rocky area formed by some form of Cryovolcanism which deposited the rocky surface, and by extension, the mineral deposits, closer to the surface which allowed us to mine the damned things.
A strange kind of luck that makes me very uncomfortable.
I guess it's onto the next location.

Log 28. Day 67:
Whatever caused the ship to explode must have been fucking terrifying because the Wormhole collapse alone cannot explain what I am seeing.
We found the remains of the Thruster unit of the ship nearly a hundred miles to the west of the Hub and it was freaking shredded.
The only thing I managed to salvage from it was some Smart Plating and other materials that the Build Gun turned into their base components within my storage.
I also found some intact Plutonium Fuel Rods, so that is something, I guess.
On to the next destination.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Log 40. Day 100:
It's been a hundred days or somewhere between three to four months since we crashed on this planet, and things are not looking good for me.
I still haven’t found a way to compensate for the missing organic resources required to craft the advanced tech, and neither have I come across any debris that could provide me with said resources.
Truly, things are looking very bleak for me.
Edit: Do not give up, Administrator. Remember your objective. You need to get us out of here and back to Earth so that you can cuddle with Puppies and Kittens. FCSIT manual suggests that Humans are more likely to care about these mammalian lifeforms than their fellow humans, so think of the cats and dogs and keep moving forward.
…….Thanks ADA. Even if that is some corny and strictly corporate encouragement, it does mean something to me, I guess.
Alright, time to move on.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Log 85. Day 135:
Jackpot!
We found a section of the Main Body that we managed to salvage for a lot of resources.
But most importantly, I found an intact Biochemical Sculptor!
With a few modifications, and larger power draw and resources, ADA and I can reconfigure this module to produce synthetic organic resources that we are missing.
The production rate will be terrible and there will be a lot of wastage, but this is still a step forward.
I cannot give up just yet, I need to keep moving.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Log 115. Day 180:
Success!
It took us more than a month of tinkering and refining, but we managed to reconfigure the Biochemical Sculptor to take in the Carbon Monoxide and other materials from the local Ice deposits and turn them into Hydrocarbons, which are then turned into Plastics.
A tremendous breakthrough in my entire production chain.
By using this method, I am not only removing the minerals polluting the Ice, giving me usable water for my factories, but also producing Plastic, which is a vital component in many of the advanced technologies, and a few volatile gases and materials for my biomass generator to burn for energy.
Already, I am setting up assembly lines to combine these plastics with the Fuel that I managed to scrounge up from my scavenger hunts to produce Rubber while also combining the Plastics with circuit boards and Cables to produce Computers with the Manufacturer.
With Plastics and Computers now available to me, I am now only missing AI limiters and High-Speed Connectors to make my own Supercomputers.
The future is once again looking bright.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Log 200. Day 250:
I have scoured the entirety of the Northern Hemisphere of this planet and have yet to find any deposits of Caterium on it or any other Wreckage aside from the few dozen spots I found initially.
Fortunately, I did manage to find Gold deposits near another rocky surface section, a few hundred miles from the HUB, which should serve as a viable replacement for Caterium according to ADA.
Edit: Quite ironic, as you humans would put it. We had originally found Caterium on the previous planet as a replacement for Gold to use in the manufacturing of advanced electronics. Now, we have come full circle and found Gold to replace Caterium.
Indeed. With Gold mining now in full force, I should be able to manufacture the rest of the materials I am missing.
The Smelters will refine the Gold into ingots, which will then be turned into Quickwire by the Constructors, which will then be combined with Copper Sheets to produce AI Limiters.
Similarly, the Quickwire will be combined with cables and circuit boards to produce High-Speed Connectors.
Finally, after nearly 9 months of hard work, I am close to my initial goal.
I cannot wait to see just what kind of species inhabits this star system!
