The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 26
Added 2025-04-30 06:24:43 +0000 UTC“We have an incoming warp signature- Shit!! It’s the Star Seeker ship!!”
Windblade jumped at those words from Blurr, running after him to the top of Navitas’s body, which is still in its moving city form.
The moment the two young bots got to the top of the Titan, they spotted a massive ship drop out of warp in orbit of their planet.
Windblade instantly felt a connection in her comms system, making her relax and smile.
She turned to her new friend and smiled.
“Don’t worry, Blurr. It's Maximus.”
“Wait, really!? How-“
“Attention, all Velocitronians. This is Silverbolt, captain of Unitex-1. Please seek shelter as soon as possible and have your Titan brace itself for Planetary shift. Repeat, seek shelter, and prepare for Planetary shift.”
That message rang out on open comms, making the younger bots feel confused. However, before they could question what was happening, Blurr spotted a part of the ship’s belly open up, revealing the accursed weapon that he could never hope to forget in his life.
“Holy Primus! They are using that thing again!! Move!!”
Blurr caught Windblade’s arm in a death grip and used his power to shoot into Navitas’s most defended area, an action that most of the surviving Velocitronians had already taken when they spotted Unitex-1 in the orbit of their planet.
In response to the threat felt by his children, the Titan in question also followed his instinct and stopped moving, allowing his gigantic form to start shifting.
The treads on which he had circled this planet continuously for so many years suddenly shifted inwards, revealing colossal claws that dug deep into the planet’s surface, anchoring the titan firmly into the ground.
At the same time, his massive city form started shifting as well, streamlining his shape and becoming more aerodynamic to withstand whatever attack or natural forces that would be thrown at him.
As if Unitex-1 was waiting for the Titan’s move, the moment Navitas completed his transformation, the ship aligned itself with the planet’s surface, allowing Windblade and Blurr to zoom into the weapon from within the command center.
Windblade felt a grin stretch across her faceplate while Blurr’s jaw dropped in awe. They watched Maximus heft a colossal blaster in his arms as if it weighed nothing, aiming right at the planet.
“Windblade, can you hear me?”
The young femme continued grinning as she answered her coms.
“Of course I can, and I’ve got to say, you really love making dramatic entrances, don’t you?”
“…..I have no idea what you are talking about. But that’s a discussion for later. Is everyone on Velocitron secure?”
The young femme’s trust in the older bot was such that she did not even question what he was doing with that oversized weapon and simply looked towards Blurr’s side of the terminal, spotting the evacuation reports and Navitas’s current status.
“Yes. They have all been secured within Navitas’s racing coliseum. I have also managed to reverse some of the damage sustained to Navitas’s Brain module, so he should also be ready for whatever comes our way.”
“Good. Stay anchored and hold onto something.”
“Maximus? What are you trying to do?”
“Reverse the damage done to Velocitron by my imposter.”
Blurr did not even have the time to understand what the older bot meant before his world lurched.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I felt my Spark Chamber strain under the pressure while my industrial-grade Energon systems struggled to keep up with the Energon drain placed on my body.
Such is the power of the Requiem Blaster, even when its full potential and primary functions are heavily suppressed by the ad-hoc engineering of the star seekers.
The Requiem Blaster was created by Solus Prime to be the greatest weapon the Primes had against Unicron, with a fucking micro black hole at its center.
How in the name of Primus did Solus Prime achieve something like that? I have no idea. What I do know is that it is an extremely potent weapon that once wiped out an entire star system from existence with a single shot, if the myths that I’ve read all those eons ago are to be believed.
However, right now, I am not interested in the primary function of destroying celestial bodies. What I am interested in is the side effect of the blaster that was harnessed by the Star Seekers to create a weapon of their own.
I’ve got to hand it to Fortress. For all the hatred I felt for him and his crew, there is no question about his technical abilities and engineering skills.
I know only a handful of bots throughout history who could achieve the same thing that he and his crew of pirates did.
The crude, yet ingenious engineering marvel of the Star Seekers is basically a harness that shuts off the main function of the Requiem Blaster, disconnecting the main energy conduits of the blaster that draw energy from the micro black hole to produce a projectile of energy.
In its place, the harness creates external conduits that use the gravitational pull of the micro black hole to create a pseudo-tractor beam, capable of moving entire planets at will.
Of course, it would take a lot of Energon for the harness to function and a living Cybertronian mind for the calibration and regulation systems of the harness to function, since the weapon refuses to function for an inanimate system or even an AI. But still, they achieved something that only a handful of people in existence can claim.
They managed to wield an artifact of the primes for their purposes.
But now, I will use this abomination that they used to terrorize so many worlds to repair and restore what they destroyed.
I gritted my teeth as pain flared across my body while the harness of the blaster charged by using my body as the bridge between itself and the Energon reserves on the ship, while using my brain module to calculate the weapon’s systems, tractor beam trajectory, and various other computations.
Within seconds, I felt the weapon pulse and synchronize with my spark, once again urging me to use its power to destroy the planet below me.
If it were that easy for my will to be broken, I would have offlined myself a long time ago. That is why, I steadfastly ignored its urging.
“Silverbolt. Status!”
“All systems are green. Maximus. We are ready.”
“Let’s do this.”
With a thought, I activated the weapon.
A beam of energy enveloped the planet below.
“Seismic activity detected. Gravity tethers of the harness are working fine and holding the planet together. Ready for phase two.”
“Confirmed. Proceeding to Phase two.”
I concentrated on the artifact, maintaining the tractor beam while also using the harness to divert some of the gravitational force to surround the ship, pushing it away from the local star, making the planet follow our movements.
“By Primus! It's working! Maximus, it's working! We can succed-“
“Focus! We are not done yet. Confirm trajectory and Planetary orbit.”
“R-Right! Trajectory deviations are minimal, Former Planetary orbit has been confirmed. ETA 30 seconds.”
Thirty seconds!? Scrap!! I don’t think my body can handle this kind of strain for so long.
How the hell did Silverbolt manage to keep himself intact till now if this is the kind of torture that Fortress and his goons subjected him to every time they moved a planet?
My respect for the Beastformer shot up even more than before.
‘I was right. He really is the only one worthy of seeking the Allspark in my stead should it come to it. This kind of integrity will never allow him to be corrupted by greed when he encounters that artifact.’
After thirty long seconds of agony, we finally brought Velocitron back to where it was supposed to be before the Star Seekers screwed everything up.
“Planetary orbit returned to its former location. Disengaging Gravity Tethers. Planet integrity is at 98% and holding. There was some damage, but the planet is relatively intact. We did it, Maximus. We succeeded.”
“Confirmed. Disengaging harness and disabling tractor beam.”
I pulled back my powers, disconnecting me from the harness, the weapon, and the ship’s systems, allowing me to sigh in relief as the pain faded.
Although the blaster was rather reluctant to let go of our connection.
‘Damned thing. Once I am done restoring what the Star Seekers destroyed, I am throwing you into a black hole or shooting you into the void outside the galaxy.’
“Maximus! What the hell was that!?”
I smiled as the panicked voice of Blurr rang out in my comms while I heard Windblade’s screams of excitement from the background.
“Don’t worry, Blurr. I just put Velocitron back where it was supposed to be-“
“Is that right? Child of the Three? In that case, I owe you my gratitude.”
I felt shocked as a different voice that I was not familiar with rang out in my mind.
It was not a comms connection, that much I could tell right away, and neither was it coming from somewhere else.
Somehow, I already know who was speaking.
“…..I presume you have healed? Navitas?”
Somehow, I know within my spark that the voice belongs to Navitas, the titan of Velocitron. How do I know this? I don’t know. It is a similar situation to the one I was in with Amalgamous Prime.
“Indeed, Child of the Three. Thanks to the efforts of the child of Caminus. But, that is a discussion for later.”
“Come to me, Child of the Three. We have much to talk about.”
…..Fuck my life. Why does everything always go wrong whenever I try to do something good?
