The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 25

Unitex-1 was supposed to be a cutting-edge starship designed by the best minds that Cybertron and its colonies had to offer during the Golden Age.

Equipped with the greatest of weapons, the best of Energon systems, and the highest of luxuries that could be provided by the Empire.

However, despite all these things, Unitex-1 was supposed to be primarily a scientific exploratory ship.

And just like any other Scientific ship of Cybertron, it had a secret cargo hold that no one but the captain could access, where all kinds of exotic material or anomalous objects would be stored.

That is where I am right now, looking over one of the Relics of the Primes that were ‘lost’ to time.

Truth be told, I always knew where Requiem Blaster was located.

I had stumbled upon it during my travels long, long ago, when I had visited Junkion for the first time and felt something resonate with my spark back then.

That, and the fact that Junkions were extremely trusting and naïve in those days, directly led me to the core of their planetoid and showed me the relic in person.

It was on my suggestion that the Junkions sealed up the tunnels and buried the Requiem Blaster for good.

And now, I am staring right at the damned thing that should have been at the core of Junkion.

“…….How many did they kill?”

“Everyone. Only a handful of them survived Fortress’s rampage. Later on, they died at the hands of Famine and his sadistic tendencies. Now, there is only one Junkion left alive.”

Once again, pain filled my mind as I stared at the blasted thing that had served to bring pain to countless civilizations until now.

If not for the fact that the Artifacts of the Primes were things that would cause tremendous damaged to everything in the vicinity when destroyed, I would have long since shredded the damned thing to scrap.

Especially since the blaster is drawing me to it, luring me to use its power as my own. To claim it for myself and become the strongest being in the universe.

Even then, the option is not entirely off the table since I could always try and find a black hole to throw this damned thing into.

But not is not the time for such things.

Because I need its power to right the wrongs committed by the Star Seekers. At least for those that are still alive.

Which is a pathetically low number considering the sheer number of worlds that these scrapheads had attacked.

“Silverbolt. Set course for Velocitron.”

“Alright. But, before that, the people in the ship want to see you with their own optics.”

The amused and sad look he sent me made me frown.

“The word has already spread that the legendary Monster of Kaon is on the ship, and most of the Cybertronians are refusing to leave the ship until they meet you.”

“Tell them that I am not in the mood to entertain their requests. I have a mission I need to accomplish and a bot to kill.”

I used my powers to connect with the ship and its cameras, watching the various bots and organics that now openly roamed the ship since the danger was removed.

At the same time, I looked through the logs of the ship to see how many escape pods had been used by the former slaves to escape to their homes.

Much to my shock, the number is in double digits at most while there are still hundreds of people on board the ship.

While the lack of pods could have been one reason, given that this ship was never designed to house so many bots and organics and did not have that many pods, I could tell that what Silverbolt said could have been the main reason.

Scrap! I might need to have Silverbolt manually drop off these slaves at their homeworlds or any other garden worlds, given the lack of sufficient pods.

There goes my plan to have Silverbolt search for the Allspark while I head to Cybertron to get rid of Fortress.

“…..Very well. But what do you plan to do once we reach Velocitron?”

At his words, I remembered the story told to me by Blurr.

The Star Seekers used the Requiem Blaster to pull Velocitron out of its normal habitat, putting the planet into close proximity with its star.

That means I could do the reverse and use the artifact to pull the planet back into its proper place, theoretically, anyway.

I felt the Requiem Blaster pull at my spark as if it sensed my idea and was eager to be of use to me.

…..Is this how it corrupted Megatronus Prime back in the day? Is the damned thing really cursed by Unicron?

Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, I headed out of the room with Silverbolt following me out.

“Silverbolt. Go through the flight logs and bring out all the planets that were affected by the Requiem Blaster. Any planet that is still intact and can be saved, I want placed on the highest priority.”

“If my experiment at Velocitron succeeds, I will try and salvage what I can from those worlds and see if I can’t put them back in their proper places.”

If my experiment succeeds, I could still follow my original plan.

I could go around, using the artifact to place the planets back in their proper place and then head to Cybertron now that I have its coordinates, thanks to this ship’s built-in navigator, while Silverbolt goes on a quest for the Allspark.

Given his nature, I have no doubt that he will never fall for the temptations that are born from possessing power such as the Allspark, making him one of the few bots that I would ever trust to have the relic in his possession.

I sighed as I sat down on one of the command chairs while Silverbolt took his rightful position as the Captain and started to spool up the Quantum Drives of the ship that he repaired with my sub-par Cybermatter.

Hopefully, Windblade is having a much easier time on her end compared to the mess that I discovered out here.

With those thoughts, I felt the ship lurch as it went to FTL.

Next stop, Velocitron.
