The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 21
Added 2025-03-30 08:56:30 +0000 UTCIn the dark space a few lightyears away from Velocitron, two starships sped into the void, one of the ships looking much newer in design and faster, chasing the older one.
The older ship desperately operated its warp systems, trying to move away from its pursuer whose superior systems allowed it to easily keep pace.
In fact, for any observer, it would be clear to see that the pursuer was not interested in catching the ship right away. Instead, it was clearly trying to force the older ship to run, probably towards its home base.
A tactic that was working flawlessly, thanks to a significant contribution made by the idiocy of the pilot that controlled the older craft.
Thundertron, a former Cybertronian bot that was banished during the age of Sentinel Prime, was panicking hard as he forced his old shuttle to the absolute limit, trying to make it back to the Lost Light so that he could throw his subordinates at the monster behind him while he escapes with the ancient Cybertronian ship.
Anyone who knew this monstrous bot would be shocked to see that this sadistic being was fleeing for his life.
However, if they knew who was chasing him, they would immediately understand the reason for his fright.
Soon, the old shuttle dropped out of warp near the Lost Light, making Thundertron’s faceplate twist in relief.
“Unitex-1! This is Thundertron. Come in! Famine! Sandstorm! Where the hell are you two bastards!?”
“Oh! Frang off! Thundertron! We are not your damned slaves anymore remember!? We only answer to Fortress-“
Thundertron interrupted the rant from Famine, his panicked voice making the spy of the Star Seekers pause in shock.
“Now is not the time! We have a problem! Open the docking bays immediately and have the slaves flood the hold! I need to use them as shields for me to escape!”
Thundertron waited for a few seconds, but when no reply came through and when he saw no movement from the Lost Light, his panic rose exponentially.
“Famine!? Answer damnit!?”
“You will receive no answer from him, Thundertron of Kaon. For you have outlived your usefulness and must now pay for your actions.”
The deep voice, filled with nothing but rage, spooked Thundertron so much that he let go of the controls and ran for the airlock, intending to shoot himself out of the ship and straight to the hull of the Lost Light and try to make his way into the ship.
However, once again, his hopes were dashed as the old shuttle shook violently, indicating that it was now caught in the tractor beam of the ship following it.
Thundertron barely managed to bring himself back to reality and try to make a run for it, but by then, it was already too late.
A powerful explosion rang out across the old shuttle as its airlock was melted to slag by a powerful laser that carved its way into the fuel tanks, causing the Energon to ignite and explode.
As the Klaxons blared and the hallway was bathed in red light, Thundertron felt his spark beat wildly within his chassis as heavy footsteps filled the atmosphere.
Bathed in the red lights of the Klaxons, the laser attached to the arm of the attacking bot glowed menacingly as the while glow of his sword made the air hum thanks to its ridiculous heat.
Those baleful red optics glared down at the pirate with the same intensity as when Thundertron had seen this bot cleave through an entire unit of Security Bots back in Kaon.
His form looked slightly new, and so did the color scheme, making him look different from his new boss, the one created to replace this bot in the grand scheme of things. And yet, his very presence that demanded respect had not changed.
All in all, Thundertron was once again very sure of his guess.
That the Monster of Kaon was still alive, and he had unfortunately become his new target.
Thundertron’s brain module overclocked as his body pushed Energon across his systems, allowing the bot to try and dart past the massive being that stood in front of him.
Yet all of his efforts would be in vain as the Monster of Kaon, once known as Armorbite, but then became Maximus, plunged his sword into the ground, freeing up his hand, and easily caught the escaping pirate, lifting him up in the air like a sire picking up a misbehaving sparkling.
Logically, as a Pirate who led an entire fleet of creatures to attack worlds, he should not have been caught in such a position by a single bot.
Unfortunately, logic does not apply to the anomaly known as Maximus.
The pirate fleet that Thundertron brought with him towards Velocitron was promptly decimated on the ground, violently and brutally, by the old bot. In space, it was much the same, except that his fleet in orbit and beyond were given the mercy of a quick death, compared to the horrendous situation groundside.
Another reason why Thundertron thrashed in the grip of the older bot desperately. Fearing that he would have the same end as his subordinates.
And as luck would have it, his guess would be proven to be correct.
“Thundertron of Kaon. You have violated various laws concerning the safeguarding of Cybertronian Colonies, our homeland proper, and various other lifeforms, both organic and inorganic. As the highest ranking member of our race in a few hundred light years, I hereby sentence you to execution as per the Cybertronian Laws against Space Piracy. May Primus judge your spark.”
The pirate did not even have the time to talk before the massive bot grabbed both his neck and then plunged his sword through his spark chamber, instantly killing the pirate who had been terrorizing the neighboring star systems for centuries on end.
From the screens on the old shuttle, Maximus saw the Lost Light maneuver towards him, slowly limping towards them to investigate what happened to Thundertron since the communications blackout began thanks to his outlier powers.
“One down, four more to go.”
