The Maniac of DxD (Highschool dxd insert/ semi-crack): Chapter 20

“….This is a fucking disaster!!”

“WAAAAH!! WHAT DO I DO NOW~? SONA-CHAN WILL HATE ME FOREVER FOR THIS!!”

Serafall Leviathan, one of the four Satans, and the one in charge of foreign relations, also known as Magic Girl Levi-tan in the Devil society because of her tv show, and used the nickname MgirlL on STube, was in complete despair as the video of the perverted trio getting their ass kicked was being broadcasted live on Maniac Ren’s channel on STube.

Her despair-filled wails rang out across the room that she used to relax as she hugged her fellow Satan, Falbium Asmodeus, who is also active on STube as FB01, while she wailed at what was being shown on the livestream.

The lazy Satan gave sympathetic looks to his friend as he continued to watch the social disaster unfold live on the TV.

There is no need to say that He was furious because this livestream had directly affected the reputation of the two heiresses in charge of maintaining this school in the human world, and by extension, painted all the young devils as incompetent.

However, he also knew that he had no leg to stand on in this issue since he was just as guilty as his friend and every other subscriber of Maniac Ren who had previously enjoyed the embarrassment of other factions and races.

This was not the first time that Manic Ren had hit the devil race and targeted them as his next conquest, but all the incidents that took place previously had happened within their territory and were somewhat manageable in terms of damage to their reputation.

But, this time, the issue would be exacerbated far beyond what their damage control could handle since the Shinto faction would not allow any massive mobilization of Devil resources within their territory.

In the end, all they could do now was sit back and hope that Manic Ren would not embarrass these heiresses even further than this.

He watched as the comment section of the livestream exploded with laughter and comments from various subscribers who definitely recorded this stream so that they could spread it as far and wide as possible.

“Serafall, we don’t have much time before we start receiving flak for this incident. You need to inform Sona and Rias about this latest development and make sure that something like this does not happen again.”

Serafall tearfully nodded her head while a flash of determination appeared in her eyes.

“I will. But, it would be hard for Sona-chan and Rias-chan to handle that natural disaster by themselves. I should try to see if Sirzechs will send one of his peerage to Earth-“

“No. You will not. Do not forget, Earth is not our backyard to move our forces as we please. Do not forget the truce we had with the Shinto after that incident with the Great King Faction and all their stunts.”

“…Fuck! Now what!??”

Falbium shrugged his shoulders helplessly as Serafall cussed out the Great King Faction and their leader, Zekram Bael, for quite a bit before sulking on her seat, watching Maniac Ren comment on the live stream, criticizing the attack postures of the human girls with amusement.

It was not like Falbium did not understand his friend's anger because he too felt betrayed when all the monstrous acts that Zekram had committed in secret were outed a year ago.

A year ago, a well-known assassin in the Supernatural community attacked Maniac Ren during his stay in America, prompting the human to turn the assassin, who happened to be a type of alligator type Youkai, into a few purses and sell them on the market before investigating who put the hit on him.

As usual, that natural disaster in human form, easily traced out the hit to a large group of Devil nobility whose existence was unknown even to their own race, including the four Satans.

And as is usual with him, he made sure to retaliate in full, destroying their reputation, their social lives, and everything they hold dear by digging out all their secrets, putting all of it on the internet, and then, just to rub salt in their wounds, cleared out all their treasures by breaking into their vaults and swiping anything that was not nailed down.

The information that came out was such a political disaster that the Four Satans had to lock down the entire Underworld for months on end, trying to clean up everything.

The incident where The Great King Faction, made up of several influential members from the pillar families, used the forbidden Evil Piece, known as the King Piece, to rig the Rating games.

The incident where they manipulated the wins and losses of the Rating Games to further their own wealth and influence in the Devil Society so that they could suppress the Reincarnated Devils, making sure that the higher positions in their government and various other institutions were reserves solely for pure-blood devils.

The incident where they orchestrated the murder of Cleria Belial by joining hands with the Angels to hide the existence of the King Pieces while hiding this fact behind the guise that she had fallen in love with a church exorcist.

And then, the attack on Maniac Ren because Cleria had tried to hire him to investigate the King Pieces before her death. While the contract never went through since Cleria died before she could even meet the man in question, the paranoid devils had decided not to take risks and eliminate the human as well just to be safe.

Of course, things quickly backfired since their target proved to be way too efficient at their own game and turned the tables on them.

Once all this information came out, the four Satans were truly furious and quickly got to work.

Within a week, the entirety of the Great King faction was dismantled from the roots, and everyone involved with them was removed from their positions, stripped of their ranks, their peerages, and their evil pieces.

A few, like Roygun Belphegor, were allowed to keep their pieces and their peerages since their guilt was relatively minor in these incidents and had won their positions mostly through fair means, while the others ended up being imprisoned until the Satans could decide their punishment.

As for Zekram Bael, he was directly put in jail and was scheduled to be executed as a traitor until the Bael family paid a very, very, hefty ransom to free the old devil.

Originally, the Zekram, being the progenitor of the Bael clan and the original demon named Bael in the Ars Goetia, refused to be ‘shown up’ by ‘worthless younglings’.

However, the stir caused in the underworld this time was so huge that the last remaining original demon and the only one that was equal to Zekram in terms of power, Runeas Gremory, the original Gremory of the Ars Goetia, woke up from her slumber to confront her old companion from the days of the White God of Christianity.

In the end, Zekram was forced to concede defeat.

After that incident, the Satans became much more involved with the management of the Underworld and tried to make sure that such a huge scandal would not happen again.

However, the repercussions were not just limited to the Devil faction. The Angels and their leaders, the Seraphim, directly expelled those within their faction who had secretly collaborated with the Great King Faction to kill Cleria Belial and her lover, Masaomi Yaegaki, turning them into Fallen Angels. Worse yet for this group, the Grigori refused to accept them into their ranks, directly marking them as Strays and free game for anyone interested in hunting them down.

Which was exactly what happened as the country of Japan briefly turned into a battlefield for the supernatural as beings of various factions tried to hunt down these Angels for various reasons.

Some, like the mages and witches of Grauzauberer and Hexennacht, wanted to use the freshly fallen Angels in their experiments to further their magics, while the others, like those from the various trafficking groups from the other supernatural communities wanted to sell them to the highest bidder and make a tidy profit.

In the end, the Shinto Faction and their Gods were forced to step in and forcefully expel all foreign forces from the Earth.

Long story short, the three factions of Christianity were forced to sign a treaty with the Shinto Gods that put very, very, hard restrictions on all their forces so that such an incident does not happen again.

As for the guy who kickstarted this entire pandemonium in the first place?

That fucker had the gall to livestream himself as he watched and commented on these incidents while relaxing at some beach in Hawaii and enjoying a drink.

That was the day when many of the factions around the world finally upgraded the threat level of Maniac Ren from the official designation of  ‘Unstoppable Nuisance’ to ‘Political Disaster’.

And now, this Political Disaster was working on ruining the devil race’s reputation once again, and the satans couldn’t do anything about it since he was part of a deal that they simply could not afford to break with the Grigori.

With a tired sigh, Falbium continued watching the live stream along with a sulking Serafall, hoping that nothing more would happen after this incident.
