The Maniac of DxD (Highschool dxd insert/ semi-crack): Chapter 13
Added 2025-03-07 06:14:19 +0000 UTC“…You’ve got to be kidding me!”
“I’m afraid not. Young Sitri. The matter has already been settled and Lord Baraquiel has already sent the payment through to both our houses.”
“…Fuck!”
Sona Sitri, the heiress of the Sitri family of the 72 pillar families, cussed out a rather long string of abusive words while still on call with Zeoticus Gremory, the current head of the Gremory family and the headmaster of Kuoh Academy.
Needless to say, her peerage shared a dumbfounded look amongst themselves as they stared at their master and heard her rather descriptive curses.
Meanwhile, Zeoticus could not help but give a sympathetic look toward the young heiress as he understood the reason for her sudden stress.
After all, it's not every day that someone is asked to look after a natural disaster like Izayoi Ren, or as he is normally called, Maniac Ren, for three whole years.
Unfortunately, this was a deal that Zeoticus and Lord Sitri could not afford, especially since this would be very beneficial for their children, two of the four current Satans, who are looking for every opportunity to establish a permanent peace between the three factions of the Biblical pantheon.
In short, Baraquiel wanted Maniac Ren to study at Kuoh Academy and graduate. In exchange, he would provide insider information from any faction that the Devils might need for those three years that Ren is at school along with arranging a meeting with his leader, Azazel.
These terms were made specifically with a purpose in mind. To keep Ren in the school for three years and make sure that the Devils could not use any loopholes in the deal, like allowing Ren to graduate just a few days after he begins school.
“Zeoticus Gremory!! You trapped me in this hell!! I demand compensation!!”
The audacity of Sona’s words was promptly ignored by Zeoticus since he knew the reason for her distress.
As the head of the Gremory family, he would not be on campus all the time. This meant that he could cleanly escape whatever madness that maniac could come up with. The same went for his daughter, Rias Gremory, who could also cleanly escape since the only responsibility she has on campus is to maintain her club which can be shut down at any time.
Unfortunately, Sona did not have such easy options to escape.
As the student council president, she had a responsibility to interact with Maniac Ren on a daily basis and make sure he kept up with his studies.
She also has the responsibility to deal with whatever nonsense happens on campus because of him along with trying to correct his personality, which has long since been proven a futile effort by various forces in the world.
All in all, Sona Sitri was screwed in more ways than one and she knew it better than anyone.
“Whatever you need, just tell me. I’ll grant it.”
At Zeoticus’s words, Sona’s eyes lit up.
“I want to resign-“
“Denied. Sorry Sona, but you are on your own with this one.”
The desperation and panic in Sona Sitri’s eyes reached a peak before she finally collapsed under the pressure and did something that she swore she would never do.
She brought out the big guns.
“I will tell my sister about this.”
However, instead of making the man worried about the damage his school would endure should that particular Satan who loves dressing as a Magic Girl pay him a visit, he held an oddly pitying look that made a chill go down Sona’s spine.
“…Serafall already knows about this agreement. In fact, she personally signed as the witness when we finalized the deal and put it on contract.”
With that, Sona Sitri collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut.
What happened next shocked her peerage even more as the prim and proper heiress cried ugly tears while wailing loudly, prompting Zeouticus to express his condolences and cut off the call.
Tsubaki Shinra walked forward and embraced her master who continued to wail while holding onto her queen.
“..Um, Kaichou, just who is this Izayoi Ren? And why are you so afraid of him? Is he a threat?”
At the words of Sona’s Bishop, Momo Hanakai, the rest of her peerage looked at their master curiously as Sona continued to sniffle and cry quietly now.
It was her queen who answered the question of her fellow peerage members.
“Izayoi Ren is a former member of the Himejima Clan. Yes, that Himejima Clan.”
At her words, Momo gained a look of realization before slightly glaring at the file that appeared on their desk when Zeoticus had first informed them about this deal.
It was no secret that the Five Principle Clans of Japan were extremely xenophobic and supremacist and looked down on everyone who was not part of their people.
Tsubaki knew this personally since she was born as a part of the Shinra Clan, one of the Five Clans, but was expelled when her sacred gear awakened.
This group also knew that Rias Gremory’s Queen, Akeno Himejima, also had a history with the Five Clans, which was given since she never changed her last name just like Tsubaki.
“Ok, that explains some of it, but still, why such a huge reaction? I admit that those bastards are pretty strong, but they are nothing without their guardian beasts and as you said, this Ren guy is a former member, not a current member.”
Tsubaki sighed lightly before speaking the words that exploded in the hearts of the peerage.
“You know MRen? Or Maniac Ren as he is called? The one whose channel we are all subscribed to on STube? This is him.”
“…Fuck!”
The curse that Momo let out expressed the sudden turmoil in the hearts of all the peerage members since they now understood why their master had reacted in such an exaggerated way.
The common consensus among the supernatural community’s social media is that Maniac Ren is a person that no one should ever face in battle, at least, not alone.
The various High-Class and Ultimate-Class beings across the world who had their wealth looted from beneath their noses, the rug pulled out from under their feet, bamboozled, and then soundly defeated in a straight fight before becoming public laughingstock across the world since all of this would be live-streamed, all served as the cautionary tales of what happens when someone faces this madman alone, thinking that he was just a human who could be easily dealt with, only pay for their hubris in the worst way possible.
There was nothing normal about this human, especially since he represented what happens when a Human completely let’s go of their various inhibitions in the form of ambition, greed, morals, and other such things.
The worst thing is that, when they are watching all this happen from behind a screen, they cannot help but feel entertained and subscribe to his channel, giving rise to his fame while also rewarding his unhinged behavior.
But now that this calamity has fallen on them, they cannot help but curse out anyone and everyone they could think of.
“..We need to prepare. We need to prepare big time!”
“Agreed. We cannot under any circumstances allow ourselves to become trending memes on social media like all of his previous victims.”
Sona glared balefully through the window, down towards the large group of students that were moving about.
“We will not allow any scandals to happen while that Maniac is in this school. Especially that trio of troublemakers.”
Her glasses glinted in the sunlight as evil energies rose from her body.
“I will not allow my reputation as a heiress and the real master of this school to be tarnished across the world because of three human perverts who cannot keep their antics in check.”
Somewhere out there, hidden within a closet in the girl’s changing room, three teenage humans felt chills go down their spine, not knowing that their futures were not doomed.
