The King of Steel (RWBY/ Ozpin SI): Chapter 11
Added 2025-02-14 07:41:56 +0000 UTCLeonardo Lionheart felt confused and terrified as Ozpin gave a stunned gaze at the baffling words uttered by Jinn, the spirit that resided within the relic of knowledge.
Worse yet was the fact that he could not understand what language Ozpin and Jinn were using.
It was clearly not old Valen, which Ozpin tended to slip into when he was frustrated thanks to the decades he spent as the King of Vale, or even the original language of humanity that he had once heard Ozpin speak.
It was definitely not the common language that is used by everyone or even any of the old dialects that he knew of that existed across the world nearly a few centuries ago, before the establishment of the four kingdoms and the trade relations between them.
Suddenly, Ozpin switched back to the common tongue before speaking again.
“Putting aside the terrifying implications of your words, we have work to do so your confirmation is all I need. “
“Hmm, I like this version of you, old man. You are much more focused and clear-headed. Well then, what is your question?”
Leo watched with bated breath as Ozpin made his request.
“Can you give me all the scientific, military, medical, and every other form of knowledge from my life as David Thornton? Fill in the gaps of the general outline I have with full details and knowledge required so that I could bring them into reality and give detailed instructions to Ambrosius.”
“I can. But, the scope of what you are asking will probably make your soul collapse since the sheer knowledge is something that no single human can handle, not even you since it contains thousands of years worth of innovation and subtle details contributed by countless geniuses of your race.”
David Thornton? Who was that? Was he one of Ozpin’s previous incarnations? And what does Jinn mean by thousands of years of innovation? The recorded history of current times only stretches back to a few centuries at most with anything before that being simply known as the Dark Ages with little to no details remaining intact about those times.
“Then, distill the knowledge and give me enough to use the Relic of Creation for my plans.”
“Hehe, how interesting.”
Jinn snapped her fingers and an emerald light erupted from Ozpin’s body, making him groan in pain as he nearly collapsed to the ground.
‘This is it. This is my chance to make my escape!’
With his desperation to escape fueling him, Lionheart took advantage of Ozpin’s weakness and took out a dagger, plunging it straight toward Ozpin’s heart.
And yet, it was not to be as Ozpin’s Aura and magic erupted in a shockwave throwing the Faunus headmaster a few meters away.
“Damn, that hurt like hell. You didn’t tell me it would hurt so much.”
“You never asked, old man.”
Ozpin clicked his tongue at her words before turning around and glaring at the Lionheart who trembled under the glare of those powerful emerald green eyes.
“You know, I had this whole speech prepared. I wanted to slowly reveal to you why you should not have betrayed me and destroyed the legacy you had built up after so many decades of hard work, but now, I am not in the mood anymore.”
Leonardo instinctively knew that something was wrong thanks to his cowardly nature, making him scamper towards the door while stammering out his begging words.
“O-Ozpin! Please listen to me-“
“Goodbye, old friend.”
That single statement from the immortal was followed by a blast of magic that directedly reduced the Faunus to ash.
All the while Jinn gave an amused look at the immortal soul.
“..As I thought, I really like this decisive version of you. Why weren’t you awakened after your first incarnation failed, I wonder? Things would have been so much easier if you had awakened in those days.”
“…Again, I will visit you again to understand the implications of those words, but first, we have work to do.”
“And that is?”
Ozpin grinned at the spirit.
“To take you away and store you in a secure place alongside Ambrosius.”
“Are you not worried that someone from your inner circle would accidentally bring the other relics to us and summon the gods?”
“Not really, because I already have a plan in my mind to keep the gods from ever appearing in this world again.”
The spirit of knowledge did not even have to spend any effort to look into Ozpin’s mind and see his plan, making her eyes widen in pure shock.
“….What the hell!? Old man! You can’t do that!! Who knows what those childish gods will do to you and this world if they learn of your plans!?”
“if they learn of my plans, which is a big ‘if’, Jinn. If they really were as omniscient and omnipotent as everyone believed, things would never have deteriorated to this extent.”
“…Very well. I’ll see just how you plan to execute your plan.”
“That is all I ask.”
With those words, the spirit retreated into the lamp as the relic voluntarily floated towards the immortal who placed its shrunken version on his hip.
‘One down, one more to go.’

Sienna Khan gritted her teeth in rage as she used the towel to clean the smears of the fruits and eggs that were thrown at her after her return to Menagerie.
She had never imagined that Ozpin Norman was this kind of a manipulative person.
She admitted that she may have gone a little too far in her passion and may have misspoken, but she never knew that the words she had spoken, with a little rearrangement, had painted her as a monster that took advantage of the Faunus’s situation, as someone that only wanted to wage war and kill the humans instead of helping her people.
Once again, her tentative trust in humans to look at things from her perspective had been betrayed, enraging her beyond belief.
As she sat on her throne and fumed about the sudden downturn that the Fang’s reputation had taken in a single day, the doors to her chamber were pushed open and one of the guards walked in.
“What?”
“I’m sorry for disturbing you, Lady Khan, but there are two men here who claim that they want to speak with you and that they can help you repair the Fang’s image.”
Sienna’s irritation peaked at those words as sat up.
“And who is arrogant enough to think to speak those words? Bring them in.”
“Very well.”
Soon, two men walked into the room.
One of them was clearly a Faunus as his long scorpion tail gave it away clearly, although Sienna did feel a shiver go down her spine as she saw the madness in his eyes.
The other one was clearly of Atlasian descent as his clothing, his appearance and even the way he held himself gave it away.
The two gave her a respectful bow, even if the one given by the Faunus was more mocking than respectful.
“Greetings, Miss Khan. I am Dr. Watts, and this is Mr. Callows. We are here to help you deal with your latest problem.”
Sienna gave the two a cautious look as her hand unconsciously reached for her weapon, her instincts blaring at her that these two were dangerous and she could not treat them lightly.
“And how should I trust that you will be able to help us?”
The mad Faunus chuckled and simply waved his arm, causing her and her subordinates to feel abject terror at what they saw.
The air between the two men twisted before some kind of an illusion fell away, revealing a strange Grimm with long tentacles and a bulbous head.
The Madman called Callows just laughed at the terrified look on her face before speaking again.
“Let’s just say that we and our Goddess have experience in dealing with certain types of parasites.”
