Why did I get a notification about this chapter from patreon? Was there an update?

2026-01-09 18:58:35 +0000 UTCI'm dying to read about the appearance of my favorite protagonists, Atticus and Emely. I'm so eager to find out what they've been through all this time... Will the Celestials tell them about their true origins? About their real journey into space? How will they react to discovering there's an emperor and an empress? And that they were born and lived on Earth before leaving for a new planet?... Wow, I have so many questions! I can't wait for the new chapter.

2026-01-06 23:24:14 +0000 UTCIt's a good read although I would say that she is stuck with the situation that she really doesn't like. It is impossible not to be aware of how fortunate the Celestials are for humanity, but she is also aware of how bad the Celestials are/can be for the UEG. It is partially why she is quite keen to take up the position that the Celestials can affect the mind (which, ironically, is actually very correct even though what Yui did was just leak a tiny bit of her magic) to cast distrust on the Celestials. The comment on the soviets is also very specific too. In WW2, the Allies allied with the Soviets, not because they were trusted, but only out of convenience. As soon as the war against the Germans ended, the Soviets basically became numero uno enemy of the Allies. ;)

2026-01-06 21:11:37 +0000 UTCONI be ONI no matter what the situation. I deeply enjoyed the thought process of the agent in this chapter. It shows the hyper controlling and paranoid mindset of ONI while showing how many of the lower end operatives are not unaware of the department’s flaws and look to actively influence the organization even subtly. At least that was my read with her dithering on what to add to the report and what not, trying to convince highcom to be less extreme in their negotiations with the celestials
Hello
2026-01-05 03:57:48 +0000 UTCVery terrifying situation to be in when you know you can't even escape through death. Especially in isolation you are going to start thinking about worst case scenarios and things like eternal suffering at the hands of "demons/humans" becomes a possibility. Despised by his own people, despised by humans and can't even find peace in death. Bro is cooked.
