CH52 part 1
Added 2025-05-12 22:00:43 +0000 UTCHello All, please see the next chap. Should be posting the last scene (Baelon scene) within the next few days. It's a heavy dialogue one that needs to be right.
As always, enjoy and let me know what you think.

Yes, Liberty Bay is still an ally but not part of the alliance with Lys. Helaenas kids will be raised alongside his grandchildren. There's not need not to.

How will the changes affect the North, will Visy 2 try to integrate the North closer with rest of the nation? Is there a conquest of Dorne in the future? Will Baleon Royce first man culture influence future descendants?

2025-05-13 22:03:05 +0000 UTCOh yeah, that conflict will be brutal, with what I have in mind haha. It will be more than a decade, of course, but as older people die, so too does the apprehension of combat. It's a bit like today...people forget, or chose to forget, and will dare to have a surprised picachu face when shit aint all happy and sunshines.

2025-05-13 21:11:47 +0000 UTCThe effects was something I felt like I had to add. Some spoilers, yes, but it moves the story ahead without affecting the meat of the story. Aegon advocating for the Celtigars will be fun to write ;p. Crabs 4 life. Got a raw deal in terms of honours in OTL.

2025-05-13 21:09:34 +0000 UTCThe off screen ending was honestly pragmatic. I know you guys would have loved a 5-8k scene (as it would have been, I'm certain) but it honestly wouldn't contribute much to the rest of the story. In my opinion anyway.

2025-05-13 18:44:56 +0000 UTCIs Aegon going to carry the Staff on his person for the rest of his Talks visit or will he pay the God's Eye a other visit? I'm going to guess that the Three Eyed Crow timed his confrontation with Aegon in King's Landing so Aegon wasn't carrying the Staff without raising questions from Baelon and the westerosi. Will Solonys get any advice from Aegon regarding the Children of the Forest or Three Eyed Crow? Given how he will stay on the Iron Island for some time. Otherwise great chapter.

2025-05-13 17:34:31 +0000 UTCThis was great mate. Now I have to wait on the last scene to download the pdf, cause I read on my phone. I really liked the confrontation. The fearless and fearful shows of power. It feels good just not even hiding it anymore. Too bad that’s not gonna go well with Alicent. Magic =bad for her. Oh well. Anyway. This next scene, everyone was talking about bout how fuckin tense shit is, but now that we are here, I think it’s gonna be hurried as all hell. Aegon and castorys don’t wanna be here, Baelon doesn’t want em either. So that’s gonna be quick. But Corlys? You said there is something unnatural? Was he briefly possessed by Three Eyes? Or….conspiracy here…did mate die in Tyrosh, and that’s a faceless or sorrowful man? Or doppleganger assassin.

2025-05-13 15:49:46 +0000 UTCThere is a theory that the old gods had influence over the iron Island before the drowned God came to power. Weirwood fossilizes into a white stone that looks like bones and we know that ships can be build out of Weirwood and that Iron Born have a tradition of making House and Halls out of ships by Turing the ships around and using it as a roof like real live Vikings did. The theory is that the Grey King that made his hall out of the bones of the sea dragon Nagga made his hall instead out of his ship that was made out of a white man eating Tree like Weirwood.

2025-05-13 11:15:54 +0000 UTCI would recommend a chapter that you where we are in Corlys pov where we see the dead of Duncan water and let Corkys think about the future of his house and plans to go west.

2025-05-13 09:38:11 +0000 UTCGood chapter as always. I like how you decided to explain to us the history of Westeros and broadscale condition of the situation post-Dance from historical writings of the Maesters. This way we know that a version of the Blackfyre Rebellions will still happen like it did in OTL, though it will be called the "War of the Wyrms" and that it will be between two different branches of House Targaryen, meaning that Aegon will likely be successful in convincing Baelon to set up a few different branches of House Targaryen with strongholds, probably in the former Stormlands, seeing as the first excerpt shows that Aegon managed to convice Baelon to absorb 3/4 of the Stromlands into the Crownlands, though I am curious what was done with the other 1/4 of the Stormlands. I doubt Baelon would have given it to the Reach or ceded it to Dorne, perhaps it was set up as a Principality for Viserys II's younger brothers , assuming that Baelon does not manage to get one of his sons to succeed Jeyne Arryn and Lord of The Vale, and set up a Targaryen branch of House Arryn. With Baelon alive and a respected figure, he should be able to push for one of his younger sons to set up a branch of House Targaryen as Lord Paramount of The Vale. It also looks like Aegon will also succeed in getting House Celtigar to be made Lord Paramount of the Iron Islands. Is Arthur Celtigar, Bartimos's eldest son, given that he will be made a Lord Paramount, I would assume that Bartimos would prefer that his eldest son becomes the Lord Paramount, which I am sure his eldest son would want as well or will House Celtigar be trading Claw Isle to House Targaryen and move its entire Household to the Iron Islands? It also looks like Aegon will succeed in having Aegon II's bastard sons enobled and made as lords of the Iron Islands. Will Baelon and House Celtigar be made aware of this. Given that Aegon II's bastard were never acknowledged nor were they officially known about, this can be something that can be kept secret as Aegon II's legitimate children via Helena will be in Elamaerys. Also, I am now very curious of this emerging of a Volanteen Empire, in Essos that supported this Baelon the Third in the "Second Succession War". I'm guessing that means that Lys will not succeed in unifying the Disputed Lands under Lys's control. Probably due to some key assassination via the House of Black and White, but if it results in the rise of this Volanteen Empire, I'm guessing that it backfire's spectaculary on Braavos unless of course the Red Faith succeed iin taking control of Volantis and form an Empire out of their victory, one that is free of slavery, but that remains to be seen. I can almost see Aegon and his descendant's hands behind the scene ensuring that Essos remain in a state of constant war, thus allowing Elamaerys to build it Empire in The West. I am sure Aegon's descendants will want to expand Elamaerys and create an Empire under their family's control. I can also read between the lines of the second historical excerpt from the Olddtown Citadel Maester when writing about Aegon by introducing him as the disgraced prince and adding insinuation that he and the Elamari are untrustworthy and downplaying many of Aegon's accomplishments. I'm guessing that the Maesters of Oldtown hold a deep and enduring dislike of Aegon and Elamaerys unlike the Maesters of the Crown Citadel and Gilded Citadel who have a more neutral or positive view of him given that he probably help increase the political and military might of House Targaryen and expanded the Crownlands for the former and helped get rid of the Ironborn for the latter. Looks like House Hightower has been made well and truly extinct, even if Aegon does not kill the three remaining Hightower children, I suspect Baelon would make sure they are sent to the Wall and to the Silent Sisters to ensure House Hightower truly ends or maybe the Velaryons might quitely dispose of them when Aegon and Baelon are not looking as I doubt Corlys will be forgiving even if they are merely children. It also looks like there will 3 new branches of The Citadel with the creation of The Crown's Citadel, Winter's Citadel and Gilded Citadel. It looks like the revelation of House Hightower's betrayal and conspiracy of the Citadel made the Westerosi House Targaryen far more suspicious of institutions not under their direct control given that the Faith has been moved to King's Landing earlier that in the OTL with the building of the Great Sept happening earlier this time around. It also looks like King's Landing will be getting a complete overhall and make over by Baelon, Viserys II and their successors, given that in a century it will become the greatest and richest city in Westeros. I'm guessing that Aegon will be leavinf Baelon and Viserys II with a framework of what to do and how to strengthen House Targaryen financially, politically and militarily, since he wants the Westerosi Targaryen to be as a buffer between the Old Gods and the Three-Eyed Raven. I am curious as to whether the Old Gods and the Three-Eyed Raven have any influence over the Iron Islands given that it will be heavily immersed in the Elamaeri Faith given that previously it was probably the Drowned God that kept their influence away. Aegon's p.o.v. was also very well done. I can see how he now sees the culling of the Ironborn nobility with less guilt than he would have done in his youth, but it is something he understands had to happen, they were just to ingrained in the Drowned God worship to change, and were not worth the time and efforst to slowly convert to the Elamaeri Faith. It also looks like Aegon plans of adopting America style diplomacy of having military bases within striking distance of places of importance where Elamaerys might need to project power. Given that Elamaerys will be entering the Industrial Revolution soon, they will definitely have the steam ships soon that can travel much faster than any in Westeros or Essos. It also looks like Solonys will be staying on the Iron Islands for a while longer to ensure that Elamari interests are met and to make sure that things will proceed the way Aegon wants it to. Castory also seems to be assuming more control over the occupation of the Iron Islands which is to be expected I guess that given than Aegon plans to retire soon and hand over the position of Archon to Castorys. It also looks like Aegon's motto of being properly paranoid and prepared for every scenario possible has rubbed of on his children and hopefully will be passed onto his descendants with how Aegon and Castory are made plans to ensure their safety in King's Landing as well as contingencies in place in order to ensure their escape from the City should things turn for the worse. I am a bit dissapointed that you decided to have Duncan Waters execution happen off-screen, like that of Otto Hightower, as I was really hoping that Aegon and Castorys would be present to see Duncan's trial and execution. I am hoping that you will give us a scene with Aegon, Corlys and Bartimos and maybe one between Baelon and Castorys as well, given that Castorys is technically married to Baelon's bastard sister even though Baelon has never met Briennie. The confrontation between Aegon and Castorys against The Three-Eyed Raven was fantastic. I like how you made Castorys also able to see The Three-Eyed Raven also. I'm guessing that The Three-Eyed Raven does not like the fact that Aegon is breaking "The Song" so to speak and is very angry about that and probably has tried to kill Aegon a few times already though I am not sure of the number of times he has tried to do so, since the one time Aegon was almost killed was when the Demon from the other plane attacked him. Out of curiosity, what is The Three-Eyed Raven in your story and what is his/its relationship with the Old Gods given that Aegon noted that it/he seems to be less powerful than the Old Gods entities he met at the God's Eye. Aegon deciding to get his staff just in case is a safe bet as it will help keep the Three-Eyed Raven away from him. I'm guessing both he an Castory are not going to be getting any sleep while they are at King's Landing. Will Aegon and Castory share with Baelon and Viserys II, their knowledge about the Three-Eyed Raven and the Old Gods and how they are plotting the extinction of House Targaryen and how they are most probably responsible for Vermithor's crippling? I am hoping that Aegon will do his best to prove this to Baelon and Viserys II, maybe he can do so by opening their Third Eye as well in order to prove it to them and not leave them defenceless against such entities. If Aegon decides to do this, I hope that Baelon and Viserys II (when he is grown up) will take Aegon's warnings seriously. Wow it looks like this review became much longer than I actually intended it to be. Nevertheless, good chapter as always. I am looking forward to part 2, I hope you will be able to post it soon.

2025-05-13 04:13:00 +0000 UTC‘The battle of wyrms’ that sounds like an even more devastating conflict than the dance of dragons. Knew it was coming but they did well to last a decade without inner conflict.

2025-05-12 23:49:14 +0000 UTCOff screen ending of the enemies (Otto & Duncan) seems bit anticlimactic? What is Aegon dragon size (Vhagar size or Vermithor size)?

2025-05-12 23:35:20 +0000 UTCVery nice. First of all glad you covered the effects this dance had on Westros compared to the OTL. Glad the Citadel is no longer the only place for learning and the faith is more divide between each other branch . Also Celtigars actually getting the iron islands is a nice step up in prestige for them. The wars in Essos are interesting since this creates more opportunities for Aegon and I can’t wait to see how he or Castroys takes advantage of this if they want to get involved. Final Aegon confronting the Three eyed raven was so badass. Can’t wait to see how dinner goes between Aegon and Baelon, also will we have a section of Aegon meets with Corlys. It would be nice to see what would be discussed between the two after all this mayhem. Again thanks for the chap.
