Welcome! It pleases me greatly that you find the story so enjoyable (and also that you were at the beginning...! Haha) and yes, there'll be a reunion after the liberty bay arc.

2024-07-13 01:54:23 +0000 UTCHey, so I've been following your story pretty much since you began posting on FF.net, and let me tell you that your writing is amazing. It's been such an enjoyable roller coaster reading it. The quality of it is exceptional. I look forward to being able to read your next chapter. All that being said, I have to ask, will you be doing a chapter in which there is a sort of Targaryen family reunion between Aegon and the Targaryens of Westeros over his liberation of Slaver's Bay? Aegon, Viserys, Daemon, Rhaenyra, Rhaenys, and Alicent? Also, will Aegon point out the same thing he did to Sodhabhas to them as well when questioned over the extent of bloodshed he is responsible for? I know Aegon isn't doing this for altruistic reasons, but I could see him easily using the same argument again against his family.

2024-07-13 00:32:48 +0000 UTCJoanna is effectively taking Lys for herself...not exactly what Aegon had intended originally. He'd wanted Lys to belong a bit more in his corner (not annexed or a vassal but still basically in his sphere of influence). Joanna effectively took Lys to be an independent power that'd be 'friendly' with Aegon and his people but not exactly aligned in all things.

2024-07-12 23:26:07 +0000 UTCHow did Johanna alter the deal with Aegon? Is what she aiming for not the same as what Aegon wanted her to do?

2024-06-26 23:26:55 +0000 UTCGreat chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with Sodhabhas. Felt like both sides had valid points and, bearing upon the culture of the summer islanders, it's completely believable for them to have come to this conclusion about the war. Also, the dialogue with Lady Swann was great as well. Amazing chap. One small issue was that I almost missed the small council scene you added to the prior chap. I thought it would be in this one lol. So everyone here in the comments go read that edited part if you haven't yet!

2024-06-21 06:08:26 +0000 UTCeither that or he goes to westeros and the summer isles to speak of the truth of Aegon's actions

2024-06-19 18:16:14 +0000 UTCThey already wiped out the Ghiscari people in Mereen already, yes? Don´t think there is anyone left to smuggle out. But yeah they are probably going to catch him doing something stupid and get dishonorably kicked out and shipped back to the summer isles in shame.

2024-06-19 09:40:00 +0000 UTCThanks for the awesome chapter! The entitlement of Johanna Swann is just hilarious, what can you expect from pampered nobility... She doesn't seem ready to lead Lys, her whole plan was "Aegon will take care of it".

2024-06-17 01:09:28 +0000 UTCWith a monarchy, the dance is inevitable for the Targs. That’s prolly why Aegon is making an oligarchy for his new home.

2024-06-16 23:32:31 +0000 UTCI think the Dance is inevitable regardless if Baelon is a dragon rider or not tbh. They wont stand for a first born son being overlooked. Lol @ re Sodhabhas. And yes, largely second hand. Swann was never directly told but given she was in frequent ish contact (before the glass candle) with Aegon, she hadn't had reason to think otherwise.

2024-06-16 21:19:14 +0000 UTCA bit standard no? :p Daemon can't help himself. Yeah, Sodhabhas chose a poor time to snap. Yes, it's shitty that so many died, particularly the innocent in all of the takings, but that is unfortunately the price.

2024-06-16 21:13:30 +0000 UTCYoure welcome! And enjoy (both)! Won't be able to watch it until tomorrow :(((

2024-06-16 21:12:23 +0000 UTCThey had the perfect way to avoid the dance of dragons this time around and Daemon is going to cause it somehow anyway 🙃. Really enjoyed the conversation with the summer islander dude. They’re probably going to catch him smuggling out some surviving Ghiscari children or something. I get where Lady Swann was coming from, but she had never heard from Aegon or his people directly that he was going to attack Myr right? Everything was second hand from merchants and whatnot?
