Hello all, please see the next chap!
As always, please let me know what you think and enjoy!
Edit: I wanted to add a scene with Viserys (not his POV but another) as the last scene but unfortunately, ran out of time. Will be part of the next one.

2024-07-13 16:20:46 +0000 UTCHope we get some POVs of how they react to him going ti war with the slavers and Lys rebelling would be good to have them meet after Aegon is crowned Archon and after hes just humbled a good bit of Essos. Meanwhile the main branch is inching closer towards a succession crisis while Aegon is looking better and better as a king. Its gunna make Viserys and Daemon feel jealous of how successful Aegon has become and continues to be. By the time of the Dance Aegon is going to be in such a powerful and secure situation while they will not.

2024-05-22 17:21:35 +0000 UTCMan its one those days when you just wish the days would go faster , can´t wait for the next chapter. Plots and mysteries abound but I´m actually really looking forwards to the rest of the Targeryans reaction.

2024-05-22 09:56:36 +0000 UTCI feel like I need to go back and reread the early chapters. I don’t remember much of what happened before the Gael romance and the exodus.

2024-05-22 00:45:05 +0000 UTCThank you for the chapter! Man Viserys really is the man that brought down house Targaryen. I wonder now that the conquerors prophecy is out in the open if this will get back to Viserys since he always thought that only he and now Rhaenyra knew about it. I can see him being shocked and jealous that Aegon knew about it through a “dream”. I hope Aegon just gives the big middle finger to the nobles and Viserys when they ask him to kneel. I don’t know why but every time I think of the dance I just want to see the Dragonborn for Skyrim be dropped in and beat both greens and blacks with their dragons

2024-05-21 18:35:08 +0000 UTCI'm interested in seeing how Aegon will interact with the family. Since he mentions in his letter to Vaegon that he does care for the supremacy of House Targaryen on Westeros, it'll be interesting to see how he'll go about things. I bet the most likely scenario is him telling all his kin to fuck off, especially given how Rhaenyra is unfit as a ruler and Viserys is Viserys. Given how the greens have innocent women/children with Helaena and Jahaerys, I heavily doubt he'll help either side more than the other. However, I could see him playing both sides, especially if he comes to like Baelon and Aemond, respectively. Also, I hope we'll see some interaction with the North, maybe in a betrothal. You mentioned earlier about the dangers of betrothing his skin to the starks and exposing his family to the hive mind of the old gods, but that was such a short tangent I feel like a Northern betrothal is still on the table. That, or with the Lannisters. Can't wait to see the next chapter.

2024-05-21 18:05:20 +0000 UTCA kind of weird oligarchy-republic mixture. Similar in a way to the House of Lords but with full decision making. Aegon is being a bit devious with the way he's structuring the governing system with the anticipation that greater levels of literacy ---> education --> right to vote. Eventually it'll need a change. Aegon wants to allow the framework to happen

2024-05-21 17:52:23 +0000 UTCYes, and we only have a few examples of them, complete opposites. Makes you think, doesnt it?

2024-05-21 17:49:51 +0000 UTCAlways love your comment/review. Yes, Viserys is a fuck up. Jaehaerys would have been wroth with the guy. Honestly, worse than Aenys imo. At least Aenys had a genuine reason for being weak (weak of body which affectes him no doubt). Viserys is just a dick who thought that being King is enough to make people obey (despite the 100000s of little instances during his reign that disproved that...) the Red Faith is an important ally, if they can be brought to the table. He definitely feels that it is possible, especially given that he's a targ (basically children of rhollor in many ways). Plus it helps that the Red Faith hasn't got any legends/scenes from past life that they can mindfuck you like the Old Gods can....and probably do quite often.

2024-05-21 17:49:14 +0000 UTCLol. Nice. Tbh i can only give a range...the odyssey 20k chaps no plothole itches at me presently with this story. Probably another 5-7 chaps if I'm being honest. And another 5-9 for the end chaps. Dont take my word for it though...(which sounds strange). It generally depends on how it flows tbh.

2024-05-21 17:43:31 +0000 UTCBetter question, how many chapters will the war in total last, from the bay to the free cities. I need my bloodshed, also, integrate a bit of th… wait no we are going non blood sacrifice… kill off all the r… wait no, sorta allies there. Hmmm… will Aegon and the Targaryens of Kings Landing at least meet?

2024-05-21 12:07:33 +0000 UTCArchon not arching. Damn autocorrect.

2024-05-21 09:07:36 +0000 UTCAlso, i forgot to ask what form of government will Aegon be making? Some sort of Republic like the Roman Republic with an arching in place of consul or something to that effect?

2024-05-21 09:07:08 +0000 UTCI have always find the red faith one of the more interesting faiths in the series.

2024-05-21 08:32:17 +0000 UTCGood chapter. It looks like Aegon is trying to entice Vaegon to come and join his branch of the Targaryen family in Elamaerys and he know exactly the weak spots that Vaegon has to entice him to come. It makes sense that Vaegon refused to become king after Jaehaerys as he knew the kind of disastrous situation he would be setting himself up for. Also Vaegon is right when he says that the Dance of the Dragons could have been avoided if Viserys just followed Jaehaerys decision and made Aegon II his heir instead of Rhaenyra. Viserys was basically the man how sowed the seeds of the downfall of House Targaryen, if Jaehaerys knew what a fuck up Viserys would have done I am sure he would have had him killed and had Daemon become king, as much as Daemon himself was unsuited for the role given his temperament. The scene with Rhaenyra was also well done. I'm guessing Rhaenyra will be in for quite a surprise when Aegon refuses to bend the knee to Viserys. Which should not be so surprising, after all why should Aegon hand over his hard earned kingdom to Viserys when he and his branch of House Targaryen can rule over it themselves. The scene with Aegon in Yunkai was good, I am guessing that Aegon is trying to make the Red Faith open it minds towards other faiths and believes and that their religion is not the only religion that plans to stand against the darkness. It was also good to see that Aegon's control over fire is improving. I am curious to see if Aegon will eventually unlock the secret of creating dragonstone and Valyrian Steel. Looking forward to the next chapter.

2024-05-21 07:42:37 +0000 UTCSuccession would have been a problem as Vaegon is uninterested in making heirs. Also, he knew that things would get bad real quick once Jaehaerys keeled over. So even if he wanted, which he didn't, he'd set himself up for a disastrous time. And Vaegon is smart enough to realise when things aren't worth it. The Greens and the Blacks should take note in all honesty.....
Mosef
2024-05-21 06:48:52 +0000 UTCYes, the Red Faith is no joke. Aegon also, ironically, sees them in a better light than the Old Gods. They're more 'natural' allies with shared history. Plus theyre kinda fire buddies lmao. Aegon's best trait is probably his ability to bullshit his way out of things using half truths.
Mosef
2024-05-21 06:46:03 +0000 UTCAnd Viserys is known to be....swayable. that coupled with the brotherly dynamics between the three, well...it's makes sense to me that there's a great sense entitlement about.
Mosef
2024-05-21 06:43:24 +0000 UTCAegon hasn't yet been crowned archon (it's why they still say my prince) but I get what you're saying. It's because the lands are quite irresistible to many people in westeros. Empty land that is untouched and full of resources...they're all very interested in carving a piece out for themselves

2024-05-21 06:41:17 +0000 UTCNot many more

2024-05-21 06:33:14 +0000 UTCDamn so Vaegon was meant to be king but he refused lol. That’s ballsy. Tho who’s would succeed him after that? And if Vaegon suddenly die after Jaehaerys death? That’s another can of worm that would lead to a full blown civil war between Viserys and the Velaryon tbh. Unless they call the great council again.
Duy
2024-05-21 05:41:56 +0000 UTCProlly cause Viserys and his council wants to maintain some sort of image about their authority so although they’re not all right saying it, they’re steering the rumor to make them seems more powerful and in control.

2024-05-21 02:04:34 +0000 UTCThanks for the chap. I will say that the ending part really got me excited to see what happens next as the red faith can be a powerful ally or a terrible enemy. Also seeing both Vaegon and Rhaenrya pov’s was nice to see how they react to Aegon achievements. I’m curious to what Viserys will do next chap. Keep up the great work and thanks for the multiple chaps for this month.

2024-05-21 00:23:42 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the whole chapter but the Vaegon bit was real nice. I’m real curious why everyone in Westeros thinks that Aegons lands belong under Viserys authority. Is it just because they don’t know he’s been “crowned” yet as Archon? It’s not like he paid taxes to the iron throne when he was in the summer islands.
