i can understand it. You put so much work into this series and it hasnt gone stale, from a readers perspective. I will make a selfish request that you dont take 6 months off, not so close to the Halo universe...been hyped about it since part 1. =)

2023-06-05 01:14:56 +0000 UTCYes, I think I'll take a break for a good six months I think from Odyssey. Maybe work intermittently on it to build up a bit of buffer. Sadly, I don't think that will happen lol. It barely lasted more than a few weeks last time.

The Precursors I imagine aren't exactly fussed because either way species who hold enough genetic and social diversity tend to get the mantle of responsibility. 2) I had Older-Atticus planned for a little while. Since maybe the first interlude. Wasnt sure how to write him in though but thankfully inspiration struck and used him to move things along a lot faster. 3) Haha! I don't know if it's getting better. I think so? I honestly do think the battle was less good than Grindelwald and Rasputin never mind Grindelwald and Atticus. Re: Archmages more powerful...I'd say that power creep is an issue but mostly it works well I think because of the problem that Precursors are. And also, I like to think that Atticus and Emily are like triggers for everything. Like industrial revolution, scientific revolution and even just any kind of competition between nations and peoples....progress triggers progress and I'd like to think that the Archmages like the Greek Pantheons and the Norse Pantheons had similar triggers that caused legendary mages to come around

2023-06-02 21:45:20 +0000 UTC1#A species holds the mantle of responsibility because the Precusors choose them for harvest or a species is choosen for harvest because it had the Mantle of Responsibility? 2# Was the interfenrence of Older-Atticus planned or you reached a dead end in your writing and saw that interference would be needed? 3# Is just your writing getting better and more vivid or the duel between Cullaica and Li Ley was almost as great as the duel between Grindelwald and Atticus? Also noted that you are making the Archmages more powerful with them flying and healing their limbs casually.
