Good to know that you don't mind a bit of rambling as I tend to tangent a bit. I do know a fair bit about nature v nurture, did a bit of reading when I was going through the development of the clans. The environment also plays a bit factor too as bacteria etc can also contribute to the development of people.

2023-04-22 07:09:13 +0000 UTCScience and engineering parts are fun to read, they make the whole story more fleshed out for me ... and just plain interesting. Also in regards to Bella and being born evil, when it comes to the old nature versus nurture it turns out that both are important in shaping a person. There is an interesting story about American neuroscientist that while studying psychopathy accidently find out he was one as well, while being a decent person (apparently not a murderer or a serial killer... so far). He apparently had a lot of hallmarks of one, but the loving environment kinda balanced it out, he still had some traits though. Sorry for rambling, but I hope you will find it as interesting as me👍

I always liked the idea of Bella probably had some issues anyway, issues exacerbated by the blood war, her family and voldemort making her this evil person. Maybe that's because I quite like the idea of people not being really born evil but instead circumstances moved them towards evil.

I think you handled our dear miss Black pretty well, crazy but not too crazy, and surprisingly vulnerable. As well as giving an out of the crazy train, without compromising who she us as a character.
