2022-10-22 21:29:06 +0000 UTCThank you for doing it properly instead of rushing out a chapter that isn't good

2022-10-19 17:26:51 +0000 UTCYes, it'll be an interlude and the next chapter will be Friday. Apologies guys, had to rewrite some of it to make sure it flowed easily. It'll be entirely in Atticus' & Emily's perspective.

2022-10-19 13:32:06 +0000 UTCAny update on the next chapter ? It’s an interlude correct ?

2022-10-18 23:34:44 +0000 UTCI can easily see lily going to the Flamel school and becoming a researcher of some type. Granger too.

2022-10-16 23:31:09 +0000 UTCI hadn't come across rune king Thor, but he looks impressive. Kind of going full Oden in his allknowing glory plus his old powerset. "This is one of the characters too powerful for MCU", yeah no shit! And lightning is objectively the coolest "element" so it's definitely a good inspiration! Re: Paul comparison, then he's maybe more like the son in character, who grew up accepting his role, instead of Paul who was a decent guy who became a slave to the unbeatable logic of the "golden path" despite hating every second. The description of fusing with the larval sandworms are cringeinducing bodyhorror at it' best, i'd say Atticus means of longevity is preferable... Nice that he has some comfort in hope :)

2022-10-13 08:44:27 +0000 UTCYeah but they're a one package kind of deal can't have one without the other and I think at some point Dorea will convince Charles to join Atticus
Master Zen
2022-10-13 07:34:35 +0000 UTCI for one support a break. It’s Dorea who matters.

2022-10-13 01:57:31 +0000 UTCNice. Also, do you plan to introduce cannon characters such as James, Lily, et al? Lily would fit a Provydetsi due to her green eyes. Might be Atticu niece. Would love the conversation with Emily: “My niece is supremely talented, she defeated you originally 😂”
Mike
2022-10-13 01:54:56 +0000 UTCAtticus probably won't be as tortured as Paul is meant to have been towards the end, his moral compass has always been kinda iffy, only really rounded away from its edges with the love of hims family. In a way it brings him comfort, the ability to see where the path is going because it makes it worth it. Kinda like when people desperately clutch onto some kind of comfort during hard times.

2022-10-12 18:18:22 +0000 UTCAbsolutely re: foresight! Honestly being it's kind of OP and i am using a bit of ideas from Rune King Thor (funnily enough I didn't know about him until well after Atticus adopted lightning as his focus! Funnily enough I came across him when I was looking into characters capable of seeing the future in arc 2) a little when it comes to understanding the universe and how it works.

2022-10-12 18:14:10 +0000 UTCI have never read dune but I have seen the movie and some videos about what happens in the story. While I'm not taking inspiration of the main characters son (who becomes this weird worm thing?!) I have to say some of the prescience formulation is definitely in my writing!

2022-10-12 18:10:39 +0000 UTCWill be revealed as the story continues!

2022-10-12 17:52:25 +0000 UTChere I was hoping that Charles would be working with Atticus but it seems he´s not quite happy with how Atticus did things hope that he´ll understand know the truth why Atticus did what he did

2022-10-12 08:34:20 +0000 UTCThat last subsection was really interesting. I love the great scale of Dune and I guess you draw some inspiration from there? Fitting that they ran circles around their opposition in the insular british socielty, that kind of foresight and planning ability would be absolutely terrifying to face. I just hope Atticus isn’t going to become as tortured and hollowed out by his terrible destiny as Paul was. If he’s lucky the golden path he sees isn’t quite as monstrous. I’d stay away from cults anyway if I were him ;) Interesting and daunting to see the scope of the problems they have to deal with. It didn’t make sense for the forerunners to get all traces of the flood with the halo array, let alone chief and co, when they could easily be intergalactic. Can’t wait to read more! :)

2022-10-11 19:13:03 +0000 UTCSo what’s the state of relationship between Atticus and Charles ? Bitterness or something else ?

2022-10-09 20:05:04 +0000 UTCYeah she shouldn't have tried to redeem him. I mean the man likely didn't even give a shit as long as his enemies are dead. At the end he must have been well happy. James potter was dead black was dead lupin was dead and the rat probably was going to die sooner or later just as voldemort was going to. Probably thought that if he was lucky HP would die tol. Really, JKR should have had a post scene of Dumbledore and Snape portraits talking it out like "the insufferable boy named his son after us" "I heard. Poor boy" "having regrets old man?" "Of course. The boy never stood a chance did he?" "Hes Potters son. Of course he didnt"
Mosef
2022-10-09 20:04:01 +0000 UTCI know right? As for Snape, whenever people try to justify his actions, just take a look at how he treated other kids. His "Or do you take pride in being an insufferable know it all?" to Hermione shows how crappy of a person he actually is. JKR trying to redeem him at the end didn't make senses. Then again, HP for me generally went downhill after the Goblet of Fire. Good plot points and action scenes, everything else was meh, especially the characters. I mean, Albus Severus?
Dull Pen
2022-10-09 19:43:51 +0000 UTCWhat an abomination that name was. Seriously the Harry Potter in the book and movie series is a case study of how fucked up abuse is. Guy names his child after a man who played you like a puppet almost from birth subtly manipulating your personality and another who caused your parents death and had the audacity to beg for your mothers life whilst not givinga shit about her infant, caused your experience of school to be horrid, basically hated your guts and basically only really helped 'your side' because he feels guily he got his obsession dead and wanted to get back at the man who 'took' her from him. Messed up.

2022-10-09 17:11:31 +0000 UTCEverything about or in the order of the Phoenix is Emilys work. Even the people, at least the main people. The names of the two people...samael and bili(al) are a nod to her time at the orphanage. Names of devils/fallen angels.
Mosef
2022-10-09 17:03:37 +0000 UTCAin't no Albus Severus Potter here lmao
Yeno Memevig
2022-10-09 16:59:03 +0000 UTCWas the order of the Phoenix something that Emily created? Or did another group decide to take up the name?🤔

2022-10-09 16:54:46 +0000 UTCHer vindictiveness is a lot more subtle and prefers it to be longer lasting than her counterpart. Atticus' long term viewing of things rubbed off on her a little and manifested her vengeance a little differently :) even if there's only two who know how much she's mocking and desecrating of everything Dumbledore valued or did even if it was in a different universe
Mosef
2022-10-09 16:42:34 +0000 UTCI bet Emily loved besmirching the order of the Phoenix a group that never existed in this timeline lmao.
