I’ve been reading battlemage, brink is what brought me here. The only issues I have with either is in both how much the mc’s focus on bringing our worlds rules to different universes. It feels preachy and our world is crap too. I wish they would better adjust to their new reality instead of always hemming and hawing. In both they have 100+ body counts but also want to triple check that the criminal has done something bad enough that he would be a bad guy in our reality. It’s easily the most annoying and hypocritical thing ever. The mc’s NEED to adapt to reality. Or you need to make them suffer for being out of sync, in night city everyone kills to survive. In Star Wars billions are dying in a war, he needs to treat the galaxy as it is not as a Disney movie. Less moralizing based off earth values.
