The first computer programmer. She was the daughter of Lord Bryon the poet and her mother was jokingly called "the princess of parallelograms". Ada worked with Charles Babbage on the "Analytical Engine", a mechanical computer that was never built. She figured out how to program it with punched cards as were used on Jacquard looms at the time. Ada was the very first computer programmer, a pioneer of modern computer science.
