Quick Schedule Update + Outcast Ending Estimate
Added 2024-04-25 09:04:03 +0000 UTC1. So I've just finished writing the most recent Outcast chapter (do me a favor and don't check what time this update was sent out). Pre-editing, which almost always increases the chapter length, it clocked in at 9150 words. It's going to end up long enough that it should realistically be split into two updates, but I'd rather not do that.
To compensate, and to give myself more time to edit (and sleep), I'll need to push back the schedule by a few days. The next round of Patreon updates will go out a week from now, on May 2nd.
2. I've been asked a few times what the final Outcast chapter will be. I originally told someone in the comments it would be Chapter 51, and it turns out that was a fucking lie. Can never trust my own outlines...
Anyway, I'm currently 70% confident that Outcast will end on Chapter 55. Leaving myself that 30% just in case.

Extensive. A Sopranos ending wouldn't fit a long series with this many characters, in my opinion.

Seriously that cliffhanger with ranvi and the blight is so killer it would have been agonizing to stop and have to wait for a new chapter if I kept going.

Kept me up for late nights waiting for new chapters and, re-reading it all, start-to-most recent chapter 4 times. Just to experience it all again. I'm currently re-reading Chrysalis by RinoZ in between updates just to save off the addiction with copious amounts of words. I don't know what I'm gonna do when rob and the gang aren't waiting for me every Monday. It's gonna suck for sure. I'm definitely glad it's happened. But I still reserve the right to be sad that it's gone
