Schedule Moving Forward

Chapter 214 marks the end of Book 5. This update is getting sent to all Patreon tiers so that people can plan accordingly. For people in higher tiers, please don't post spoilers in the comments. For people in lower tiers - scroll below this posting at your own risk.

With that said, here's a general summary of the schedule to expect moving forward.

1. I'll be taking a two week break starting on Chapter 214. Updates for lower tiers will continue as normal until they reach Chapter 214, then they'll experience the same time lag. Unless something screwy happens, Book 6 Chapter 1 should be made available right when the break ends, which for each tier should be:

Tier 3 - July 20th
Tier 2 - July 27th
Tier 1 - August 3rd

2. There won't be a Side Story 3. Partially because of time constraints on myself and my co-author, and partially because it wouldn't fit into the Book 5 → 6 narrative.

3. After the break ends, Outcast will update once a week for a few weeks as I continue to build my backlog. In the past I used the Side Stories as a pseudo-break to do prep work with the extra time that having a co-author afforded me, but since that isn't happening this time around, this was the best compromise I thought of that didn't involved just dropping off the face of the planet for a month.

I use the word 'break' a lot but honestly I'm still doing stuff during all these time periods. The Book 6 Outline alone is probably going to end up being like 20k words, there's kindle release prep to do, then other projects I can't talk about yet...I won't complain about this job as I'm extremely fortunate, but the days where I don't do anything are few and far between (weekend? what's that?). To avoid burnout and retain story quality, some time to breathe is needed. Thanks for understanding.

4. To fill the schedule gap during this period, weekly chapters of The Skill Thief's Canvas will also be posted after the break ends. Me and my co-author are planning to take the series public once it reaches twelve chapters on Patreon. I know this isn't the series people actually signed up here to read, though, so I'll get Outcast back to its regular twice-a-week schedule as soon as I can.
