2023-04-17 21:07:32 +0000 UTCI will actually agree that the laughter was going too far. I'll change that bit to be less overly sadistic. It was very difficult to strike the balance I intended in these scenes, so some details might need some fine-tuning. As for your worries - just know I don't intend to write anything that would ultimately leave the readers unsatisfied or unhappy. However, certain storyline can't be resolved in just one or two chapters, which makes serial readers a bit more stressed out than people reading in a completed book format, which I understand completely.

2023-04-17 18:15:56 +0000 UTCMixed feelings about this chapter. It seems like a lynchpin chapter, Rob stepping up and making his presence undeniable. It seemed like Rob growing to become better than he was, taking on the support of Kenzotul and turning over a new leaf. But instead of a step forward to enlightenment, it seemed like a step forward to sadism with the way he laughed at the agony of others. Overall, I still love the story, but I'm uneasy about having Rob the virtuous despot. Unless I've read too much into it, maybe it's just because the chapter ended immediately after.
