I don't see how big robots would fare much better than spamming metric tons of bombs at the blight. I don't think they'd be able to do much leveling up seeing as they're machines, and they'd be limited to straight up physical damage. Exo suits might work better because they're not as large and slow of a target compared to a big lumbering robot.

2022-10-31 19:58:18 +0000 UTCI've already said this on SpaceBattles, but does anyone think that the Earth militaries might start using bow and arrows, spears and swords and such against the Blight? I'm not sure if a crossbow would be too close to a gun, but there are repeating crossbows out there. The US military has exoskeletons it's working on, and I think China actually fielded some in their display on the Indian border. Come to think of it, wouldn't giant robots be the most effective against the Blight? Most of the Blight Jason has fought hasn't been too high levelled, so I wouldn't be surprised at that...

I truly love how you manage to build up so many fascinating things. I wonder, if they can achieve dimensional travel with magic, could they send a book with a guide on learning magic to Earth?

2022-10-27 16:41:02 +0000 UTCBefore Rob, no one could even speak to the Fiends; the Humans and Fiends were mortal enemies. The Fiends were probably trying to make a portal and used life drain on the humans to power it. The portal either succeeded and let the Blight in before it closed or failed and created the blight by corrupting the "blue" (the energy in Elytra's loci of power).

2022-10-27 16:10:30 +0000 UTCIf I wasn't already subscribed, I'd be signing up to your parteon right now. What a turn! I had a hunch that the Humans asked the Fiends to send 'em somewhere and that it turned into the clataclysm due to the release of uneven untempered energy from the other side rushing in. If the humans survived the transport, everyone who disappeared would theoretically exist on the other side.
