Great update. I have no idea where this is going, but it is one hell of a ride. Two quibbles though, is Unyielding a rare or a legendary skill, because it is referred to both ways when Not a Scratch morphs into Unyielding (Legendary) and in the following line Unyielding (Rare) morphs into Dauntless Reprisal (Legendary). I think Unyielding should be Rare and Dauntless Reprisal is correct as legendary. The other issue is with this section Taleya let out a sigh, running her hand down her face. "You might find this surprising," she muttered, "but my Diplomacy was at Level 6. I leaned on it for many of my conversations. Living with it will require a period of adjustment." I am pretty sure that should be "Living without it will require a period of adjustment."

Trevayne

I can't edit pastebins, although I might just make a new one later. Unyielding was Dauntless Reprisal without the reflection effect.

KamikazePotato

You forgot to change unyielding to legendary in its morph to dauntless reprisal. Also, can you show us unyielding's description?

M

Not just one.

CMDR Dantae

I have, yes. Pretty much every major plot point has been planned for a very long time (by web serial standards). And thanks for the compliment!

KamikazePotato

I don't want a FULL Jason chapter, but maybe a paragraph or two. "I wonder what Jason is doing right now. HA, he's probably out at dinner or something." *cuts to Jason screaming through hordes of monsters* *cuts back to rob*

Ariez Weatherford

Question for you, Mr. Flying Potato, sir: Did you plan the reveal since the first appearance of the locus attunement prisoner? If so, masterful planning. If not, masterful repurposing.

Paxmorgana

Does this mean that Leveling High was most likely the most psychopathic mass murder in past Elaitra?

Carlos Torres

I am very interested in finding out how many relationships have been broken from an elatrains loss of diplomacy. i.e. someone does say she does look fat in that dress.

Carlos Torres

You're very welcome! Thanks for the kind words :)

KamikazePotato

Very good catch! Fixed it.

KamikazePotato

You know what, maybe it should. That fits the Rule of Cool well. Might change it.

KamikazePotato

Maybe dauntless reprisal should be (LEGENDARY)?

Captain Nuclear

Super cleverly done. Depending on diplomacy to communicate with our peers, like depending on text, tweets, etc in the same way. Take away the ability to proof-read, reword, reconsider, research a topic, go back and add some charismatic witticism to a communication will leave many with feelings of at least social awkwardness, maybe even anxiety. Voicecalls are out, texts are in. Many won’t even take voicecalls due to lack of the proof-read/edit function. πŸ€“πŸ€―

Jason Donovan

I'm not sure I'm prepared for the possible ramifications of wholesale removal of a very fundamental aspect of existence when the loss of a single skill knocked most of the population on their ass. Or seeing if the nagging thought of "With how much she bypassed prerequisites through concentrated effort at improving her bladework, Alia may have been partially parted out and rolled into Dual-Wielding after death" ends up being right.

jhontheunmortal

Quick edit for you: ["I won't deny that sharing Leveling High was a phenomenal feeling," she admitted.] Should be sharing Fast Learner, right? Sharing that other one would be kind of a disaster.

NnT042

Well, the trapped souls did raise the level of purge corruption, so this isn't too surprising. Certainly gave me chills to read though. That was done brilliantly, truly, thanks for another amazing chapter.

CMDR Dantae

They still ought to tell Alessia and Duran about all that, probably

John Smith

Not A Scratch's cooldown has reduced every time the Skill leveled up. It was already at 5 minutes during the Titan's Fist fiasco. Dauntless Reprisal adds the reflect and self-healing effects.

KamikazePotato

On a 5 MINUTE cooldown?! Correct me if im wrong but Not a Scratch's cooldown was multiple hours before this upgrade.

aaron clark

Oddly enough the skill description does not say damage, but says that he can reflect the same amount of force.

The 49th Khan

Reflect damage is a hell of a trap card for higher level enemys.

Smellvin

I just really hope he shares that last sentence with the party, that almost implies they WANT him to use the skill, and maybe even worked to HELP it get upgraded, a truely solid proof of "yes, the skills are okay with you using them ATM"

john smith

bro this story is so hype

Maniac9

To be fair, the coin flipping god seems the closest to liking Rob. Maybe Rob can roll a Nat 20 persuasion.

Silverwolf

It's entertainment?

Silverwolf

Rob is the antithesis to β€œI have God and Anime on my side” He has the characters and magic system on his side, so the Gods and Anime are gonna have to bow to his will. The Elatran DM is gonna have a hell of a time sorting out those dice rolls when the time comes.

Nope

Not even β€” we almost died to fruit

Produx :}

Weve gone from almost dying from Wolves to planning to kill the gods

Mr von Twistern

Great chapter. The realisation that skills are people is just a bit terrifying. I've also been curious for a long time what purpose does Leveling High serve for the gods.

Olivia Wronski

Oh that last sentence on the notification gave me chills

Jonathan Crandall

I’m getting big Vainqueur the Dragon vibes tbh

Produx :}

If leveling high can get yeeted, I wonder if every single party member would get sent to lv99 after they inevitably spank the dragon queen. How to kill god? Just have 6 gods. Ez

Produx :}

Amazing chapter
