Riardins Rangers get a well deserved break and can calm down and relax a bit, they find out that the Merfolk are now friendly diplomatic contacts and more trustworthy than the Dwarves were. They even find out that the Seneschal helped them and now we finally can get Diplomacy back. You know, if I had a penny for every story I read where the Protagonist has a Nuclear bomb cook him live and his life gets better afterwards, I'd have too pennies. Which isn't a lot, but it's still weird as hell that it happened once nevermind twice.
