Nice Tony Stark moment there.

2022-08-15 19:35:51 +0000 UTCWhile that's a very common assessment of their actions, do note that Jason is unique. He's only valuable for as long as he lives, and he's constantly at risk of death from being eaten by monsters. Most people don't want to bank the world on the life of a single man, and they don't know that the levelling system is a spiritual entity, and thus can't be understood by dissecting Jason. Jason is taking logical steps to amend this, by raising his value both nationally and internationally, and clearly isn't happy with the situation either, seeing as he has accepted non-lethal procedures to investigate his levelling system, probably including invasive procedures. Now, that said, what was stupid was that they didn't consider waiting until he died from fighting monsters to dissect, or that his levelling up might make him too difficult for them to subdue and then dissect in the first place.

And the scientists when he puts them through the ringer. It also makes it much harder for them to experiment on him when he's a literal superhero now. Great story, excellent work author!
