The item is "reformed" if destroyed which, without clarification, may cause digested food to be extracted from the body rather than recreated from nothing. This would be worse than having nothing to eat. This was pointed out in Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality as a huge danger with transfiguration of gases in addition to other consumables.

EU timezones ftw Edit: Rob is going to find a way to abuse the fuck out of both Item Bind *and* Class Awaken isn't he? Can't wait to see if Class Awaken will also benefit Diplomacy somehow. Or how much good it would do to the guy whose name i forget that makes Rob's firebombs, the one who improved that water amulet they found in the Aberrant Dungeon, or how helpful it would be to have awakened healers.
