I am not here to comment on the romance. I am here to comment on the use of the word Tuesday. Faelynn uses the word Tuesday and unless you intend the Fiends to have days of the week you may wanna change that. You have been very, very, very good about not using Earthterms like that before now

For that matter, was it ever mentioned on the Fiend's reaction to the other races wiping the humans out and if they wondered why?

The romance stuff taking a backseat after this chapter was always planned, because some main plot stuff starts to ramp up again. Without spoiling, I'll say that there's a reason I keep specifying/counting down how many days there are until the teleportation circle is ready.

2021-11-25 14:05:38 +0000 UTCThis is one of the few stories I have read where the relationship building doesn't seem real off-putting or predictable which is a nice change of pace. So I really don't mind this focus you gave it and it was something that needed to be developed. I prefer this instead of lightly danced around and barely mentioned and then all the relationships seemed to have magically moved forward with no context. All in all, great job! Also I need a friend like Mayneth. I to am terrible at those first steps and thus am like Zamira in that way, so thanks for a flaw I can really relate too! Painfully relate to.

Dragonkin hurricane equivalent of "Someone needs to make my ships set sail and by the gods I'll see it through myself if I have to" . Also Faelynn possibly learning of Rob's XP Share ability feels like it's gonna be a relatively major plotpoint (I say that knowing full well that my story predictions are usuallly off by quite a bit, a fact I enjoy greatly as I'm alwats pleasantly surprised when things don't go as I expect them to)

Ive come to thoroughly enjoy your romance building. The struggle of these young andults to find or even express themselves is really well described and makes this book and its characters so much more realistic.

Personally, I love the stuff. it's a natural conclusion of having a tight knit group of friends like this, and also help to characterize them all so much more than anything else can. I also like how you aren't being to obvious about whos getting with who, except for Rob x Keira, and that one's literally talked about in previous chapters why it's taking so long. I'm invested in Zamira, and whether she finds some one to be with, or becomes satisfied on her own.

Zamira is moving forward and actually, while it's not nearly as extreme, I have problems with most forms of physical contact, feels a bit violating at times and seeing that in a character... I dunno, it's nice. Love seeing Rob and the gang seen from various perspectives and again, for the love of God watching Meyneth absolutely tear into her friends hangups like a supportive hurricane is everything I never knew I wanted. This is great, thanks for writing

As for adding to the story - these issues have been building in the background for a long time. They don't necessarily affect the main plot, but they affect the characters, and a story is nothing without its characters. I don't consider it a pointless derivative, although I recognize that it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Regardless, the relationship stuff is going to take a backseat starting...next chapter.
