it's too bad the humans weren't able to/didn't know to target the dragons preferentially; from what we've seen they were the ones forcing the drive to exterminate humanity. The random beams clearing villages is a little like blowing up the line troops (some of who are conscripted or misled) but not the evil leader responsible. But we don' t know what they knew/what their options were/etc. and we have hindsight and a semi-omniscient narrative view (we saw stuff simply so the story made sense to readers).

2021-08-02 18:45:21 +0000 UTCFinally got an excuse/etc to fund this patreon, and already I'm not regretting it. In fact, love it! More seriously... Oh boy, was that one hell of a horrific soul burn. And hindsight, probably some eldritch horror foreshadow, to what could have caused the Blight to have appeared afterwards. The lingering 'broken' mass of a post-calamity spell of "fuck you forever"?

2021-07-20 09:23:18 +0000 UTCThere is several levels of, god damn they need a therapist, going on. Poor Mal got to listen to the last dying screams of an entire civilization and it's people along with witness their final act of spite.

2021-07-19 22:52:09 +0000 UTCLike, I hear what you're saying...but I disagree. There's a ton of character development and the story is advancing. There's more to a story than fighting and I would really not say that the plot stuff we've been getting is slow. Like, not a lot of fighting, but a lack of fighting doesn't constitute slow in my opinion.

2021-07-19 20:03:20 +0000 UTCMmm. I think I'm done reading for at least a good while. The releases are so slow and nothing that drew me into the story is still going on. This is usually how I feel a couple hundred chapters into a story, not less than 50. No dungeon. No fighting monsters and making use of vitality. Hell, he doesn't even Stat vitality anymore even though there's got to be something insane at 100. Not very much romance, and what there is of it seems to be some annoying triangle type of shit. I also even feel like the subtitle of "is insanity a racial trait" is.. pointless and weird so far, 'cause he's done next to nothing insane. Good luck to you

Good god, smol mage HEARD the dieing screams of humanity as they burned, ripped from their bodies to fuel the cataclysm. Still blame the assholes who assassinated the dragon queen's family. I know it wasn't humans, just not sure which personage the dragon queen hurt that decided this was a great way to get back at her.
