In this regard I try not to judge older people. We take our hardwired Internet savvy for granted in a way that others can’t “get”. But I don’t think they’re any less smart for it

But I feel that the general premise of "bait" or trolling still follows the same basic formula, and being able to sus and filter out the nonsense is largely a deficit in critical thinking skills at it's fundamentals. Not sure why it seems like (and might be) worse than it was previously. The friends mom not knowing that the cgi Stitch wasn't some kind of exotic trained animal is uhh.. different level of gullibility.

Autistic people are typically very trusting in what people say in the sense that they see them as true. Also, i have a friend who's mother saw the "breaking bad 2 trailer" by chubs and was genuinely so shocked that it was fake. She wouldn't believe me when i told her bryan cranston's voice was AI in the video.

The older I get, the more I realize how fortunate we were for not having iPad access from the womb
