3x5 Friday - Mini Figure Study #35!
Added 2022-06-25 01:08:30 +0000 UTCI'm working away from home for over a week again, and as I sat down to my wee 3x5" gestural figure sketchbook here, to reconnect with the body and the page, and the graphite, I wanted to portray another strong and autonomous female figure. It was a simple warm up, but also a statement of devotion to the integrity and beauty inherent in the human form, in the humanity we strive to uphold, in the respect and honor for the body that is entirely right, should we chose to understand that universal truth...
So, here's another one of my QUICK sketches.
This one shows parts at the finding contour around the interior structure stage, and parts where I layer over into that some simple tone or value, to give more dimension through the shadow shapes.
And my choice locations for line weight variation might also be of some help or insight, if you like.
She's a pick-a-mix of technical samplers!
