Hey Dear Patrons,
As promised, I wanted to send an advanced copy to all contributing tiers of Quarteto Nuevo's new album, of all original works (including 2 by yours truly) called The Jazz Roads Suite. An interesting aspect of this project was the fact that we were commissioned to write an original piece for each state we had toured in the previous six months, and because each member was writing, each piece has a unique voice and style.
While I've done plenty of live recordings with other groups, doing a live album with a group like this is challenging (no picking the best take, and almost impossible to fix any issues that can happen in a live performance).
If you've never checked out Quarteto, it's a VERY different side of what I do and couldn't be a further departure from my projects as a solo artist.
That said, I hope you enjoy the music, and as always, I'll see you backstage!
